People are fickle.
Even after pushing away the person they loved with their own hands, they could not help feeling regret once that person was gone.
John was no different.
When the cursed Isolde left the village, John spent a long time regretting that he had never gotten to fuck her.
‘If I’d known this would happen, I should’ve fucked her ages ago.’
Isolde’s beautiful face and luscious figure flickered through John’s mind.
A small face with flawless features, sharp eyes, and moist scarlet lips.
She was on the slender side, but she had full breasts, a narrow waist, and, most importantly, a big ass.
And finally, that blazing red hair.
Aside from her goddamn personality, Isolde was exactly John’s type.
‘If only she’d been a little more meek, I could’ve handled her like Iva.’
Of course, the kind of woman John wanted was nothing more than a sex slave obedient to him.
Someone he could fuck whenever he wanted and trample whenever the mood struck him.
He had wanted to break Isolde the way he had broken Iva.
To turn her into a communal fuckhole used by everyone, himself included—a woman who could be treated like livestock.
Well, that was a dream that could never come true now.
The cursed Isolde’s appearance had become utterly grotesque.
"John, go to the square and pick up some goods from Tom. Even an idiot like you should be able to handle this, right?"
"...Understood."
At the village chief’s command—his father’s command—John limped toward the village square.
"There he goes."
"Don’t make eye contact. You’ll get dragged into it for no reason."
"Being the village chief’s son must be nice. Even with crippled legs, he gets to live well."
The John who had once thrived as the village chief’s only son was gone.
Now, he was nothing but a lame man scorned by the villagers.
‘Damn it. If that bastard hadn’t shown up, this village would’ve been mine by now.’
Under the villagers’ contemptuous stares, John cursed Ian inwardly.
He believed Ian was the reason he had ended up like this.
The real reasons were Finn and Kaelen, who had betrayed him, and his own lack of leadership to keep his gang together, but John laid all the blame on Ian.
That was the only way he could excuse his own failure.
"Isn’t that her?"
"Who are you talking about?"
"Look at that red hair."
"Huh?!"
The villagers began gathering in the square.
Curious at their murmuring, John forgot all about his errand and pushed his way into the crowd.
‘Did a peddler come through or something?’
There stood a proud red flower, unbowed amid the village men.
"Isolde?"
John was rendered speechless by the appearance of a woman who should not have been here.
Especially since her curse was gone.
"Hello, everyone."
As Isolde returned with the beauty she had once possessed, the village men began speaking to her one after another.
"Isolde, the curse is gone?"
"Yeah. Ian took care of it for me."
"That’s a relief. We were really worried about you."
"You were worried? I thought you hated me, since you threw rocks at me."
"Th-that was because we were scared of the curse."
"I was joking. If I’d been in your position, I would’ve been terrified too."
Isolde spoke with a gentle smile.
"But throwing rocks was too much. I could have gotten hurt."
"Sorry."
"It’s okay. But you’ll grant me a favor later, won’t you?"
"O-of course. Just say the word. I’ll do anything."
With a single smile, Isolde easily bewitched the men.
When her eyes met his, John hurriedly looked away.
He did not want Isolde, who had regained her former beauty, to see how pathetic he looked.
If Isolde saw him and laughed at him, he felt as though his pride would shatter into pieces.
Yet contrary to his expectations, Isolde approached him with a bright smile.
"John! There you are. I’ve been looking for you."
"M-me?"
"Yes. We can’t just go on without saying anything to each other, can we?"
"What are we to each other?"
"How can I say that when everyone’s watching?"
At Isolde’s bashful evasion, joy surged through John.
His heart pounded at the thought that she was still interested in him.
It was a kind of superiority.
All the other men were busy trying to read her mood, but he alone was receiving her favor.
Feeling the jealous gazes of the men all over his body, John continued speaking with Isolde.
"You’re very different from usual."
"I’ve been through a lot too. Now, I want to cherish the present rather than the future."
Seeing Isolde’s radiant smile—a smile he had never seen before—John revised his opinion of her.
‘Maybe I could marry Isolde now.’
Whether it was just his imagination or truly the experience she had gained from suffering under the curse, the venomous edge unique to Isolde had melted away like snow.
The current Isolde seemed as though she would become an obedient wife who looked only at him.
"John, I have a favor to ask."
"A favor?"
Isolde leaned close and whispered in John’s ear.
Her alluring voice tickled the back of his neck.
"Can you come to the mill tonight?"
"W-why the mill?"
"There’s something I want to show you, John."
Smiling meaningfully, Isolde placed her index finger against her lips and added,
"It’s our secret, so you have to come alone."
"Y-yeah."
"See you then."
Leaving those words behind, Isolde disappeared.
It had been a brief reunion, but it left an equally powerful impression.
"John, what happened? Don’t tell me you and Isolde are dating again?"
"Fuck, I’m so goddamn jealous."
"Damn it, why don’t I have a girlfriend like that?"
Everyone who had dismissed him as a cripple only moments ago was now looking up to him.
That fact filled John with superiority once more.
‘Fuck! Yes, this is it! This is what I’m talking about!’
Up until then, John had surely been happy.
Up until then, that was.

‘What’s going on?’
When Isolde returned, Marin’s eyes filled with bewilderment.
Isolde, whose life should have been ruined by the witch’s curse, had returned with her beauty restored.
‘This isn’t what I was told.’
She had even given up her virginity just to curse that loathsome bitch.
And yet the curse had not even lasted a month.
From Marin’s perspective, it was enough to make her jump in outrage.
‘Look at her. She’s already seducing the village men.’
Marin hated Isolde enough that she had gone through a witch to place a curse on her.
Whenever she saw Isolde’s beautiful face, her own plain appearance felt pitiful by comparison.
Then there was Isolde’s boldness, the way she dominated men, unlike Marin, who shrank back before them.
Isolde had been born with all the things Marin could never possess, and now she was trying to steal Marin’s dream too.
‘Shit, John can’t think straight either.’
Watching the entranced look on John’s face as he stared at Isolde, Marin grew anxious.
She did not like him as a man, but Marin loved his wealth very much.
She had dreamed of marrying John and living comfortably, but it looked as though Isolde was about to ruin that dream.
‘What if Isolde marries John at this rate?’
Marin bit her nails, trying to soothe her anxiety.
Then a man approached her.
"You look like you have a lot on your mind."
"Y-you?"
Marin’s body trembled at Ian’s sudden appearance.
In particular, her lower belly reflexively grew hot, like a trained puppy.
"W-what do you want?"
"I came to see whether you remembered the promise we made before."
"I remember. You’ve got a firm grip on my leash, after all."
"That’s right. But submission and obedience are different things."
"Ugh..."
"Well, I prefer the ones who resist."
"You bastard."
Marin could not resist Ian.
He knew that she had made a deal with a witch.
If Ian reported her to the church, Marin’s life would be over.
She would probably be tortured in every conceivable way before she died.
‘Anything but that.’
Fortunately, Marin was lucky.
Just as she had luckily found the witch’s house, Ian, who knew her shameful secret, was not as righteous as the rumors claimed.
As long as she could satisfy his desires, her secret would remain safe.
Of course, that meant she would have to submit to him for the rest of her life.
"Don’t be so afraid. I don’t have a hobby of tormenting what belongs to me."
As Ian touched Marin’s hair and spoke, the offended Marin answered with the petulance of someone sulking.
"You’re tormenting me plenty. Why did you remove Isolde’s curse?"
"What, is that why you were so worried?"
"Of course it is. Didn’t you see Isolde seducing John? He looked like he was about to fall for her at any moment."
"Don’t worry about that. I’ll keep Isolde under control myself."
"That vicious bitch?"
"She is vicious."
At Marin’s assessment, Ian wore a bitter expression.
It was clear that Isolde had given him no small amount of trouble.
"I’ll make sure you marry John, just like you want. So do exactly as I tell you."
"All right."
"And since we’re meeting again after so long, let’s kiss."
"Kiss? Are you kidding me? What if someone sees us?"
"Everyone’s too busy looking at Isolde to spare attention for anything else."
At Ian’s words, Marin bit down hard on her lip.
Annoyingly, everyone was so preoccupied with Isolde that they could not think of anything else.
Even if she kissed Ian now, no one would care.
"At least do it somewhere out of the way."
"No. The fun part is kissing you while looking at the stupid face of the guy who’s going to become your husband."
"Trash."
"Then try managing without me if you don’t like it."
"Tch."
Unable to resist Ian’s words, Marin grabbed his shoulders so it would be over quickly.
"Hurry up."
"Hmm. Looking at your expression, Marin, you wanted to kiss me too."
"N-no, I didn’t."
"Sure you didn’t."
Ian said, gripping Marin’s chin.
"Anyone can see you’re a horny little brat still on the teat."
