"Ren, and Shiro and Haru."
Millen called each of her siblings by their nicknames as they came over to her.
Starting with Riolen, the third son of the Ruber family, then Shiroe Ruber Izawa, the daughter of the great Hero, and Haruto Ruber Sakaguchi, the son of the strongest [Crusaders].
They were the prince who would one day become Tempest's second king, along with the children of heroes worthy of standing beside him.
"I was sure Ar would be the first one here, but I guess he's gotten even better at hiding his magicules in the meantime?"
"Yeah. I've been learning from Diablo lately. I can't afford to be the only one falling behind like this."
At Riolen's answer, Millen thought he was already plenty strong with the bloodline of an [Awakened Demon Lord] and his father's swordsmanship. But then she remembered Sylph, who had grown lazy from being spoiled too much, and simply nodded instead.
"Then let's go where Ar is now. Sylph and Nox went with Lea to bring him over, so if we head a little farther toward the center, they should be there."
Shiroe, the youngest [Spirit Queen], suggested it in a gentle voice that resembled her mother's. She had already confirmed through the spirits that Allen, Clea, Mirine, and Renoel were on their way here.
"That sounds best. I've been trying to track Nox's holy spirit for a while now, but it seems like he's pretty far from here..."
Standing beside Shiroe, Haruto, the young [Crusaders] who was using [Holy Magic] to detect Nox's holy spirit, spoke in his usual expressionless tone, then suddenly turned his gaze toward the buildings.
Boom!
"......"
A small explosion rang out from somewhere beyond the buildings Haruto was staring at.
True to a knight with sharp senses, Haruto had pinpointed the sound exactly even through the heavy crowds. Wearing a blank, almost stunned expression, he spoke to his siblings.
"...I think that explosion was Nox and Eli...?"
"...Huh?"
"Good grief... I told them to behave a little when there were this many people around..."
"Ahaha! If Nox and Eli are together, then Sylph and Sedi must be with them too, so of course it's going to get noisy~"
"This isn't the time to be laughing, Tia."
"Well... either way, I guess we need to head there first before we meet up with Ar."
As their siblings all reacted in their own different ways, Karuna let out a sigh and muttered that last line, and everyone nodded in agreement.
*
"Yaaawn... Wasn't using [Holy Magic] a little over the top, Nox?"
"...If all you were going to do was watch, then keep your mouth shut, Sylph."
"That's right, be quiet. If Nox hadn't hurried and called the holy spirits, the [Magius] would have caught us by now."
"Honestly, Uncle Elaludo worries too much. Sure, [High Elf]s are valuable, but how many people in Tempest are reckless enough to attack us?"
An alley between buildings a little removed from the city streets.
Three [High Elf]s and one [Vampires] had barely managed to transfer into this back alley where almost no one passed, all to avoid being caught by the [Magius].
All four of them were the future rulers of their respective races, but perhaps because they were the children of queens who loved acting freely, whenever they attended events like this with escorts attached, shaking those escorts off had become routine.
"Whew... The [Magius] didn't transfer with us, so I guess they didn't realize we came here."
Adding that she felt bad about it but it couldn't be helped, Sedina Ruber El Ru, the future [Thunder Emperor], let out another short sigh.
Then she looked at her twin brother, Sylph Ruber El Ru, their cousin and niece Elina Ruber El Ru Sarion, and Nox Ruber Valentine, the future [Vampire Lord], before speaking again.
"We need to get to the plaza while we still can. Mother and the others are still with important figures from each nation and the Demon Lords, so before the [Magius] report this, we have to hurry—"
"—So you really did run away from your escorts."
"!!!!"
A sudden voice rang out, and all four of them froze.
Nox and Sylph rarely got flustered by anything, while Elina and Sedina usually chose to fight back no matter what happened. But there was exactly one person all four of them feared in a situation like this.
"...Big sister." "...Sis."
Millen, the eldest child and first daughter of the Ruber family.
Normally, she was gentle enough that she wasn't especially frightening. But whenever her younger siblings got out of hand like this, the personality she had been imitating from their mother came out as if it were her true nature, making her demonic enough that nearly all her siblings were scared of her.
"I believe I've made this perfectly clear before, haven't I~? When there are a lot of people around, you are to restrain yourselves as much as possible."
"......"
Thanks to Shiroe and Haruto's help, Millen had successfully transferred in without the four of them noticing. She glared at her younger siblings, who kept their mouths tightly shut under her sharp stare, then finally let out a deep sigh.
"...Whew. I don't like it, but I'll postpone the lecture for now. Eli's right. Gathering up quickly comes first."
Deciding it would be better to deal with this later rather than try to undo what had already happened, she calmed herself and spread [Transfer Barrier] once more.
"It's almost time for the festival to start. We need to get under the tree, now."
To keep the promise she had made with her father.
With her four younger siblings, she transferred once more to where Shiroe and the others were waiting.
