Side: Midoriya
Midoriya was currently tearing through the alleys, looking for Iida.
Then someone came stumbling out of an alley as if they were running for their life.
"P-Please! Save me!! Hero!!"
Behind that person, a monster from USJ appeared.
That is...! One of the monsters from USJ?!
"One For All Full Cowl! 5%!"
Midoriya rushed past the fleeing person and slammed the approaching monsters into a wall, subduing them.
But one of the weaker monsters hit the wall and had its head burst open.
"Ghk...!"
Midoriya subdued the modified humans.
He went over to the person who had been running.
Behind the fleeing person stood someone wrapped in rags.
"Idle Transfiguration."
"Huh?"
The ragged figure burst the fleeing person apart and killed them.
"W-What...! What the hell are you doing!!!!"
Midoriya charged at the ragged figure.
The ragged figure ran.
"Tch...!"
Midoriya chased after the ragged figure, but lost him.
More importantly! Iida-kun!
Midoriya ran deeper into the alleys, searching for Iida.
From atop a building, Mahito watched him.
"I wonder what kind of reaction you'll show me~"

Side: Mahito
Mahito had run from Midoriya and was observing him from a distance.
Mm... so this really is following the original story~
Midoriya was trying to save Iida.
"Hm? Todoroki came too~"
Todoroki Shoto also joined in and subdued the Hero Killer.
Mmm~ I should probably show myself soon~
The kids tied up the Hero Killer with rope and tried to leave the alley.
Midoriya was being carried by a Hero, and Shoto was holding the Hero Killer’s rope.
Iida was walking behind the group.
Then Mahito came up behind Iida, placed a hand on his shoulder, and spoke.
"So you finally got your revenge, Iida~"
Iida turned around and saw Mahito.
"Ah! You’re the one who healed my brother’s leg last time!"
The others all looked toward Iida.
Midoriya went pale and shouted at him.
"Iida-kun!! Get away from him now!!"
"Huh? What are you talking about, Midoriya? This person healed my brother’s leg."
"That man killed someone in the alley before I got here!!"
"What?!"
Iida stared at Mahito.
Mahito smiled and said, "Using your Quirk without permission is a crime, you know~ And you never once doubted someone like that when he healed your brother’s leg?"
"What?!"
"Yeah, the type who gets swept up in anger, acts on impulse, and does something stupid. That’s right, a fool like you is why you die."
"[Idle Transfiguration]."
Iida’s body twisted, and he became a modified human.
"Now, round two."
Midoriya stared at the transformed Iida in disbelief.
"Iida-kun..."
Shoto attacked Mahito with his left-side flames.
"You bastard!!"
Mahito dodged lightly.
Iida attacked Midoriya’s group.
The Hero carrying Midoriya dodged.
"Everyone! Let’s run!!"
Shoto refused.
"We can’t just leave Iida behind!!"
Iida kept attacking Midoriya’s group, and Shoto couldn’t counterattack.
Midoriya, still being carried by the Hero, pleaded with Mahito.
"Please... turn Iida-kun back to normal!!"
Mahito smiled and said, "No way~"
"How miserable~ Utterly miserable~ A Hero begging a Villain? Hahaha, isn’t that miserable? Mi-do-ri-ya."
Midoriya looked at Iida in despair.
Iida used up the last of his strength and collapsed in front of Midoriya’s group.
"S-Sorry... guys..."
Iida died before Midoriya’s eyes.
Mahito sneered. "Oh? He’s already dead? I reshaped him a little too roughly. Is that all he had?"
Suddenly, Midoriya’s fist flew in and hit him squarely.
Mahito was sent flying backward, then steadied himself.
"But what a shame. It doesn’t work on me. As long as I maintain the shape of my soul—"
Mahito’s nose started bleeding.
"?!"
What is this?! He hit the shape of my soul too... I see!! Midoriya has One For All inside him, and the fragments of the souls of the previous inheritors are sleeping within his body. Because of that, he’s unconsciously perceiving the outline of the soul!!
Midoriya stared at Mahito from where he had fallen.
Then a Hero came into the alley.
"What... why are you here!"
"Gran Torino!!!"
More Heroes came pouring in from behind.
"This is way too many~"
"Gran Torino!! We absolutely have to catch that Villain!"
"Yes, it does seem that way."
Gran Torino assessed the situation around him.
"We have to catch that guy no matter what!!"
Gran Torino charged at Mahito.
"There are too many, so I’ll run~"
Mahito started fleeing.
As he ran, he released modified humans to interfere with them.
There was a sewer along the escape route, so Mahito slipped into it.
Gran Torino saw it and rushed in to stop him, but he was too late.
Mahito was walking through the sewer.
Heh heh heh... Midoriya’s face was better than I expected~
Mahito vanished into the darkness, looking forward to what would come next.
