Chapter 5: I Declare This to You, Who Have Done Neglect Play.

Almost all of my favorite shipgirls have silver or white hair.

Do I have a silver-white hair fetish!?

===

“Alright, alright, Eugen. How about we cut the emotional hugging short and you come down for a second? My wife and maid are staring at you like they want to kill you, you know?”

“Heh heh heh. We’re this close, Commander, and you still want to stop? Or should I just do it right here? Right. Now. I’m always ready.”

I tried to peel Prinz Eugen off me so I could wake the other shipgirls, but Eugen seemed intent on doing it right then and there. She even claimed she was ready. Well, thank you very much, I guess! No, wait, that’s not the point. Ahem. I have a wife now, and if I cheat, I feel like I’m going to get wrecked in a single shot.

“That’s enough, girl. First, we need to handle this part. Then we can think about what comes next. So just calm down.”

“Cute Commander~♥ To think you’d shield that sickly wife and filthy maid. If you ever get tired of those two, can I be your second bride? Of course, I can do whatever you want. Whatever kind of play you ask for, I’ll gladly cry out in pleasure to make you happy. So give me your love, Commander...♥”

Her eyes were dead. Ah, this fleet is sick! If I don’t cure them, humanity is in danger! The moment those words crossed my mind, the killing intent from the two behind me began to fill the room. They even manifested parts of their rigging, squaring off against Eugen.

“Master, please order the immediate execution of this piece of trash, who is lower than the grime in this kitchen. If you give the word, I’ll finish her quickly.”

“You Iron Blood bitch... where do you think you're trying to seduce my husband? That thieving cat dirtying my husband needs to be torn apart.”

Hearing that, Eugen let out killing intent of her own and fully manifested her rigging, turning the situation into a powder keg. It was two against one, but I’d maxed Eugen out, so she could probably hold her own. She was a sturdy ship—just like in history. *Sniffle, sniffle.* Eugen-chan, are you proud of this Commander? But this wasn’t exactly the kind of situation I wanted.

“You? Beat me? That’s funny. I am Prinz Eugen. The Commander’s first heavy cruiser, and the Commander’s greatest shield. My shield isn’t so weak that you can break through it. Come at me, you trashy bitches. I’ll crush you and stand by the Commander’s side. You can just sit there sucking your thumbs while you watch us make love.”

Wow, too bad I didn’t have any popcorn. Come to think of it, Eugen really was my first heavy cruiser. Since she was the first one I acquired, I raised her with a ton of affection. I even geared her out with all gold equipment. Of course, I’d heard that the PR ship Roon was more useful, but I still raised Eugen with love, so I guess that affection has come back to haunt me.

Hmm, this looks dangerous, so I’d better make a run for it. You girls handle the rest yourselves. Of course, I’ll hand out the proper punishment later, hohoho. Might as well go look around while I’m at it. The others still seem to be asleep, so I’ll wander on my own. The place should look beautiful in the morning.

The moment I opened the door and bolted, I heard the sounds of a brawl erupting in the broadcast room. Whether it was a catfight or a fight to the death, I’d find out later. Still, I really hoped they wouldn’t destroy the room. If it takes materials to repair it, what am I supposed to do, huh? Hey, don’t hit the face! A woman’s face is her life!

=======

Once I got outside, the morning sun was already hanging round and bright in the sky. Ah, it’s so bright! I want to start a lively day! But I’d already been through too much. If I want to survive here, maybe I need to keep running, or maybe I need some kind of ride. I should look for one later, lalala. In those other novels, when something like this happens, someone always comes after the protagonist trying to take their first time, and honestly, that feels like something that could actually happen here too.

While indulging in those pointless thoughts, I looked around the island, seeing places I hadn’t been able to see at night. The blue sea stretching into the distance, the huge lighthouse watching over the water, the cherry blossom petals drifting even more clearly in the morning light, the buildings standing tall around me, and the beautiful fountain working in the center.

It was exactly the port I had seen before.

“Well, it is beautiful. Mostly because I’m seeing it in person.”

Maybe someday I’d have to go back, but that was a "someday" problem. Whoever sent me here would probably send me back once the job was done. Probably? Still, I’d really like it if time in the real world were frozen. It had only been one day since I was discharged; if I were missing in the real world, wouldn’t that be like driving a nail straight into the hearts of my parents, who had been waiting for me so desperately?

Still, maybe everything would work out. I’ll be able to go back, right?

After finishing my thoughts, I wanted to look at the sea, so I started walking toward the lighthouse. I regretted it the moment I got there. It was much farther than I’d expected.

“Huff, huff, huff! It’s so far! And so damn tiring!”

Still, after a long walk, the lighthouse finally came into view. Layer upon layer of breakwaters, seagulls crying as they flew through the sky, and at the end of the path leading to the sea, someone was sitting there.

'Huh...? Who is that...?'

The figure sitting with her back to me was a woman. This was a place full of shipgirls, sure, but I never expected anyone to be sitting here this early in the morning, just staring at the sea. I walked up and plopped down next to her, glancing at her clothes to figure out who she was.

She was wearing a naval cap and cross earrings. Her silver-white bob reached her neck, with long bangs falling over her forehead. Her blue eyes held the color of the sea. She wore a white-based outfit with a cape decorated in red and gold lines, and a black fur coat gave her an even more solemn air.

With a black skirt and white boots that came up to her knees, she stared wistfully at the sea. That woman was none other than...

“Ah... Commander... where are you...?”

One of the top-tier Iron Blood battleships, Tirpitz.

She had a mature, cold aura, and yet she was shedding tears as she gazed sadly at the sea. Realizing it was Tirpitz, I spoke up to comfort her.

“Beautiful lady, why are you crying?”

I didn’t know if she heard me, but Tirpitz kept looking at the sea without turning toward me and began to speak.

“Ah... so I’m finally experiencing hallucinations too? To think I’d hear the Commander’s voice right beside me... Heh heh heh... So the Queen of the North Sea has finally reached the time to sink, has she? But even if it’s a hallucination, I don’t mind. The fact that you’re speaking to me is enough to fill me with joy.”

She was calling me a hallucination. I’m literally right here; if you just turn your head, you'll see me. That’s harsh. I’m still alive, you know.

“Then why are you crying, lady?”

It seemed Tirpitz still intended to treat me as a hallucination. She began to tell her story, as if she were shouting all her overflowing love at a Commander born from her delusions.

“I am... Tirpitz... the lonely queen of the North Sea... After falling in love with the Commander, my ice melted... but right now is the happiest I’ve ever been.”

“Even now, I still laugh when I think of our first meeting. The Commander had such a foolish face, but even so, I liked him at first sight. And I hoped... Could this man really melt my ice?”

“Every time we opened new sea zones, our bond grew stronger and stronger. Before I knew it, I had come to treasure every moment I spent with the Commander. The Commander, in turn, showed me far too much kindness, just so I wouldn’t be left alone.”

“The result was that I became not the lonely queen, but just an ordinary woman who had fallen in love. How funny that was. But I didn’t mind. Just being with that person felt like I had escaped my loneliness.”

And then...

“The Commander... for my sake... perhaps he knew that I always missed my older sister, Bismarck... How strange. He was truly a miraculous man. He literally ‘saved’ my sunken sister and reunited us.”

“I had nothing left to fear. And now, if it was the Commander’s order, I was so crazy about him that I could smile and sink myself without hesitation. Of course that makes sense. I could do anything for the Commander, who gave me back the meaning of life.”

As Tirpitz spoke of her love for the Commander, her voice slowly sank into despair. The Commander’s disappearance must have gnawed away at her little by little.

“He’s gone... Everything I had vanished in an instant... The warmth that melted me... The world without him is a world covered in ice... It feels like the ice that had already melted is starting to wrap around me again.”

“Will we be able to meet again someday? How long must I wait for you? Thanks to you, I’m no longer lonely, but are you enduring your loneliness all alone? Ah, if you can hear me, please answer.”

“Please... don’t ever make me the lonely queen of the North Sea again...”

With that, she began to cry endlessly. Her tears were hot enough to melt ice, but they were not faster than the frost that was once again creeping over her.

Uh... the mood suddenly got really dark, but I still had to correct what needed correcting.

Ahem, ahem.

“Uh, first of all, I was in the military to protect the country, not because I disappeared. More importantly, I’m not a hallucination.”

“...Huh?”

The moment Tirpitz heard that, she turned to look at me. With tears still in her eyes and her gaze wide open, she looked at me in a way that felt like pure gap moe.

“And second, I need to apologize for this... I changed my phone to an iPhone, so I accidentally locked your skin to the swimsuit version, and I’m really sorry. The skin-change window disappeared, you see. I was worried this whole time that you might still be in a swimsuit.”

Uh... she started trembling. This looked dangerous.

“Lastly, Bismarck. I didn’t ‘save’ her, I just built her, but either way, I guess that’s how it was perceived.”

Her hand cupped my cheek. Like she was holding a precious jewel, she held me carefully and gently, with love.

“Co... mman... der...? Is it... really you?”

“Well, who else would I be? It’s me.”

She smiled, and I smiled right back. It looked like the ice was melting again. Just as I was about to hug her in greeting, her face suddenly came closer. Oh, I’ve seen this pattern in novels before.

“Tirpitz? Tir... mmph!”

“Mmm, mmm, Commander... mmm, mmm.”

Her hot tongue invaded my mouth and ravaged it. We made filthy, obscene sounds together. Her tongue passionately tangled with mine, pushing in deeper. It felt like she was caressing me with her tongue. Like a heated lover, she gave me a deep kiss. How long did it last? I stopped her before it got any more dangerous, though I couldn't help thinking it was a shame.

“Pha...! Uh... huh...?”

“Heh heh, Commander, is it really you? Are you really the Commander who saved me and my sister? Ah, at last you’ve returned. I will never go back to being the lonely queen of the North Sea again. Ahhh, Commander...”

She was crying and bear-hugging me. It’s been this same pattern the whole time, but when am I actually going to gather everyone and tell them I’m back? Still, I’m glad it ended at this level. I thought this was going to turn into outdoor play. And the sad part is...

'Ah... that was my first kiss... Enterprise is going to go ballistic if she finds out...'

And so we held each other, as tightly as Tirpitz wanted.
