I got eaten again.
The moment I opened my eyes, I realized it immediately. Ah, I've been devoured again. That strange, drained sensation, the evidence of our encounter scattered everywhere, and bits of my clothes tangled with theirs—including underwear strewn across the room. With the soft feel of bare skin against my arm, there was no denying it. I pushed myself up to look at the girls who had pounced on me. So, the sisters decided to team up, huh? Right—Eugen and Hipper.
“Hehehe, Commander, I can’t take any more... ♥”
“Commander, you’re so manly~ ♥”
Blinding blond and silver hair tickled my arms as they pressed their bodies against me, hugging me tight. But the sensations were wildly different. One side was generous, while the other felt like nothing at all. While Eugen’s ample chest pressed against my left side, Hipper’s firm, cutting-board-like frame was on the right.
“Ugh... senpai...!”
For some reason, I felt so sorry for her that tears actually welled up. I’m not usually the type to cry, but this was the kind of moment that really got to me. It’s okay, Hipper! A girl can still be beautiful without breasts! Though, yeah, I’m definitely a big-boobs guy, lol. Making sure not to wake them, I quietly got up and dressed. Just before I left, I heard a sound and looked back at the bed. Eugen had pulled Hipper into her arms. She must have been hugging me in her sleep, but seeing Hipper hug Eugen back felt strangely healing. Eugen buried Hipper’s face in her chest. Wow, I’m actually jealous.
“I love you so much, Commander~”
“Commander... you don’t have to hug me that tight... it’s too sweee...”
They were having a great time.
Creeeeak
When I opened the door and stepped outside, the sun was already starting to set. I’d clearly been knocked out by some kind of blow, and Eugen must have kidnapped me and brought me here. But where was I supposed to go now? As I walked through the old-fashioned hallway, I heard a voice. It sounded sweet and sticky, yet impossible to read—and somehow, frightening.
“My, my? Could that be the Commander?”
It was Roon of the Iron Blood.
Her elegant bob cut, her voluptuous figure, that languid atmosphere—she should have felt familiar, yet I felt only fear. I had escaped a mid-boss only to run straight into a hidden boss. I could only stare blankly as she slowly began walking toward me. Instinct told me that running would be a disaster, so I just stood there and waited. Finally, she came close—so close she was almost pressed against me. We locked eyes; those clear, gleaming black pupils.
“Eep!”
With a sound that broke the tension, she wrapped her arms around me. The warmth of her body washed over me, and my tension melted away with it. Looking down, I saw her smiling up at me. Was she not going to kill me...? I started to shrink back, but she snapped me out of it.
“If you stand there looking so dazed, Commander, it makes me want to hug you. Hehe.”
She tightened her embrace. Wondering if I had been overthinking things, I hugged her back.
“Ah... no, it’s fine. Roon, have you been well?”
“Hehehe, have you been well too, Commander? I’ve always been worried about whether you were doing all right.”
The setting sun lit the hallway as we held each other and exchanged pleasantries. Honestly, I’d thought Roon might try to kill me, or perhaps even imprison me. That was likely why I’d unconsciously avoided the Iron Blood dorms. But it seemed I’d been worrying for nothing. How could a girl with such a happy expression possibly try to kill me? Feeling relieved, I looked at her and asked her to let go.
“Um, Roon? Could you let go of the hug now? I was thinking of heading back soon...”
“Huh? What are you talking about? The place you’re supposed to be is right next to Roon, isn’t it?”
Cancel that.
I was wrong.
Look at those eyes—those dark pupils deep enough to feel like the abyss itself. She tightened her embrace even more, as if she would never let me go again.
“You’re not allowed to disappear and leave me again, Commander, okay?”
“I love you, Commander. Every time I look at you, I forget my duty. Your scent, your manly figure, your sweet voice. Every time I feel traces of you, I always end up wanting you.”
“But I cursed and resented and hated the fate that would never let us be together... Commander, you saved me when I had been abandoned, but then I was abandoned by you again, and I felt like I no longer had any reason to exist. But...”
“But... you finally came to me...! You came to me! Now I can shout my love at you! You can never abandon me...! I love you as much as I hate you! I hate you as much as I love you! Ah, Commander, wherever you go... if I can’t be with you in this world...”
Her slender, delicate hand moved toward my neck. The moment it touched me, she began to strangle me. She was still smiling. She looked at me lovingly, and as she did, she became visibly aroused. Her breathing grew ragged, and the grip around my throat tightened further.
“Don’t worry, Commander. I’ll kill you, and then I’ll scuttle myself soon after. Come now, let’s fall into the abyss together, Commander. Please, have sweet dreams...”
Crackkkkk
“Ghk... gurgle...”
There was nothing I could do but take it. Was this my karma? It had just been a game I’d casually played, but the girls on the other side were real after all. I didn’t resist. I accepted her touch and simply looked at her.
I slowly raised my hand and placed it against her cheek.
I just wanted to tell her.
“I’m sorry.”
Roon thought to herself.
She would kill the Commander she loved, then scuttle herself and descend into that abyss to live together forever. That was why she had tried to kill him—to prove her love. But what was the meaning of the tears flowing down her own cheeks? Why was she feeling so sad?
Why was he saying he was sorry to her?
“Commander...?”
She loosened her grip and called out to him, but he didn’t move. He just lay there in silence, as if dead. Only then did she realize what she had done. Crawling closer, she checked his condition. Thankfully, he was still breathing shallowly. If she had gone one step further, the Commander would have vanished from this world forever—by her own hand. She placed her hand on his cheek and felt his warmth.
“Commander...?”
Boom!
The moment she tried to wake him again, she felt a strange sense of weightlessness. Then came a deafening sound and a burst of pain. The arm she had stretched out to touch the Commander’s cheek was blown away, and her body was knocked back. Ignoring the searing pain in her arm, she tried to look toward the source of the shot, only for someone to rush in like a bolt of lightning and drive a knee into her face.
Thud!
“Ow...”
She didn’t go flying, thanks to the durability of a heavy cruiser, but the pain was real. Blood streamed from her forehead and soaked into her eyes. Only then could she see who had attacked her. It was Prinz Eugen, who had just been sleeping soundly after making love to the Commander to her heart’s content.
“A disgrace to the Iron Blood. Why won’t you just die?”
“Husband...?”
Beside her was the only one in this fleet she had sworn herself to: Enterprise, or rather, Yui.
Roon could only take Eugen’s attacks helplessly. She didn’t even try to fight back, just endured every blow, while Eugen glared at her with murderous hostility. Eugen treated her as if she were lower than a parasite, lower than the enemy who had killed her parents, kicking and stomping on her relentlessly.
“Why are you trying to kill the Commander, you maggot?”
The reason the two of them had been able to arrive so quickly was a certain sensation—a bond felt only by those who had shared love with the Commander. Even after the act had ended, it served as proof that they were connected. There were five girls in this place who had shared love with the Commander, and among them, only Eugen and Yui—the first ones he had met—had noticed the danger early and rushed here.
Thud thud thud thud thud
Eugen was simply crushing Roon underfoot while radiating killing intent, and Yui was kneeling there, staring blankly at the Commander. What was she thinking as she looked at him lying there, appearing as if he were dead in his sleep?
“Husband... it hurt, didn’t it...? You suffered so much...? Still, I’m glad you’re alive...”
She then summoned an arrow fitted with her aircraft and walked toward Roon, who was being beaten by Eugen. Yui had only one thought: kill the filthy woman who had tried to kill her husband. Eugen felt the same. After Yui’s turn, she was waiting to tear Roon apart and throw her into the abyss of the sea. Gathering a terrifying killing intent, Yui approached Roon, whose arm had been severed by Eugen and who was now lying blankly, staring up at the hallway ceiling.
Yui raised the arrow, lifting her arm to pierce that hateful head. Only then did Roon’s eyes begin to clear. That arrow coming toward her would drag her into the abyss. Regret began to rise within her. I should have talked to the Commander... She closed her eyes and waited for the final judgment.
“You, Roon. For the crime of trying to kill my husband, you’ll regret it in the abyss for the rest of your life.”
“Ah, Enterprise, don’t stick that arrow in her head just yet. I’ve got business with her too, you know? For the crime of trying to kill the Commander, I’ll tear your limbs apart, and for the final touch, I’ll do exactly what you did to the Commander. How dare you try to strangle him...? Suffer forever in the abyss beneath the sea.”
Roon closed her eyes against the approaching arrow. Just as she thought it was over...
“Cough... cough...”
A coughing sound reached her ears. His lovely voice.
