Ah, for your information, my other two novels are on hiatus this week. My eyes and fingers are killing me, so I’m going to call it a night early and get some sleep. For those who don't follow them, it doesn't matter, but writing a formal notice is a hassle, so I'm just mentioning it here.

The Hogyoku. Most people would think of it as the ultimate artifact that shatters the boundaries between Soul Reaper and Hollow, or vice versa. However, the true power of the Hogyoku is nothing like that. Even I don't know the full details, but it’s definitely something one shouldn't approach carelessly.
“And that is?”
“I call it the Hogyoku. With this, I can make you even stronger.”
A gentle smile played on her lips.
If I hadn't known the plot of Bleach and the true nature of Sosuke Aizen, I might have fallen for that expression. Unfortunately for her, I wasn't stupid or power-hungry enough to be seduced by such a smile. I rejected her outright.
“I’ll pass. As far as power goes, I have plenty right now.”
Despite my refusal, Sosuke Aizen maintained her smile as she spoke.
“Naturally, you are strong as you are now. However, you will soon reach the limits of that power. When that time comes, you will find this Hogyoku necessary.”
She smiled with supreme confidence. As I thought, even as a woman, Sosuke Aizen leaned more toward the 'Wicked Queen' archetype than the gentle, nurturing older sister. I could read it clearly in her expressions and tone.
“And if I... still refuse?”
“Well, I hadn't considered the possibility of a Hollow turning down power. I doubt you will maintain your refusal for long.”
She spoke with absolute certainty, but I simply shook my head again.
“No, the answer is still no. There’s no such thing as kindness without a price. Besides, you said it yourself just a moment ago—'I have no intention of fighting you yet.' That implies that eventually, you do. Am I right?”
Aizen’s eyes grew cold for a fleeting second before she broke into another smile.
“A pity. I suppose I have no choice but to give up for now.”
“Good grief. So you're saying you'll be back eventually.”
“Yes. Beings like you are rare, after all. Next time, I shall show you those who have transcended the power of a Hollow. Beings who have crossed the boundary to gain the powers of a Soul Reaper—the Arrancars.”
“I'll look forward to it.”
Turning my back on Sosuke Aizen, I began to walk away. I kept my senses locked onto Aizen's Reiatsu, prepared to slaughter her the moment she showed even the slightest suspicious movement. However, she did nothing, and I eventually moved out of her immediate range while maintaining my guard.
“How fascinating. To think a Hollow would actually reject power.”
Sosuke Aizen watched the departing Hollow, Lucifer La El, lost in thought. She had encountered many Hollows before, and not once had any of them refused the promise of power when shown the Hogyoku. They all sought strength above all else. But Lucifer La El was different.
“‘There is no such thing as kindness without a price,’ he says... What an interesting thing to hear.”
It was a cold, pragmatic truth. When someone shows kindness, they expect an equal return. Lucifer La El understood that fundamental transaction. This realization only served to increase Aizen's curiosity and her desire to possess him.
“I wonder how it would feel to have someone like that under my command.”
With Lucifer La El’s presence fully gone, Aizen opened a Garganta and returned to the Soul Society. Her mind was already occupied with a single thought: how to completely and utterly make Lucifer La El hers.

Our cool protagonist has rejected Aizen's temptation(!). You’ve got to play hard to get at least once, right? Anyway, if you're wondering why Aizen is in Hueco Mundo and not the Soul Society, I'll explain that now.
It’s simple: Aizen began creating Arrancars long ago. I'll mention the spoiler regarding the Hogyoku below (for those who haven't finished the series). My theory on the timeline comes from the dialogue and appearance of Nelliel and Nnoitra.
Think about the short-haired Nnoitra and the former 3rd Espada, Nelliel. Notice anything odd? It’s the fact that Nnoitra had short hair back then. When Nelliel regains her form, Nnoitra mentions that the power of the Espada has changed in the time she was gone. Based on this, we can deduce Aizen was preparing Arrancars for a very long time. This fanfiction is based on that logic. The next bit about the Hogyoku is a spoiler, so only read if you want to! ㄱㄱ

Simply put, Kisuke Urahara wasn't the only one who created a Hogyoku. Sosuke Aizen created one as well, as they both shared similar insights. That’s why Aizen smiled in the Turn Back the Pendulum arc when Kisuke mentioned Hollowification. To summarize, the premise of 'Hollow Chronicles' is that Aizen has been using her Hogyoku to cultivate Arrancars for quite some time.
