"Whoa... look at all those reporters..."
"It’s like a crowded marketplace, only worse."
"..........."
Michikatsu, Momo, and Himiko stared in exasperation at the sea of journalists blocking the entrance to UA. Every TV station, newspaper, magazine, and YouTuber in Japan seemed to have gathered here, desperate for a scoop on the Symbol of Peace, All Might, now that he had joined the faculty. They were stopping students indiscriminately, forcing microphones into their faces. Some grew aggressive when rejected, muttering insults about how "UA brats" were too full of themselves, and their lack of professional decorum made the situation even more irritating.
"Excuse me, could we have an interv— HIEEEK?! A VILLAIN?!"
"It’s a Villain!"
"At the front gates of UA?!"
One reporter, attempting to pester Momo and Himiko, caught sight of Michikatsu and shrieked in terror. Within seconds, cameras were pointed at him as rumors spread like wildfire that a Villain was infiltrating the school. Someone even called the police.
"Pitiful..."
Michikatsu released a heavy wave of demonic killing intent. The air grew cold, and the reporters froze where they stood, paralyzed by a primal fear they couldn't explain.
"Disperse."
With that single command, the crowd scattered in every direction like startled insects.
"Phew... thanks for that, Michikatsu. I owe you one."
Aizawa appeared at the gate, scratching his messy hair. He looked deeply relieved; the media swarm had been giving him a migraine, but Michikatsu had solved the problem in a single breath.
"They were... a nuisance," Michikatsu replied bluntly. He led Momo and Himiko inside the gates and then headed toward the administrative offices.
Principal’s Office
"What brings you to my office today, Michikatsu-kun? A private audience?"
Nezu sat in his oversized chair, sipping tea. Michikatsu took a sip of the tea the principal offered, set the cup down, and spoke.
"I shall get straight to the point... I have found a place where those with a talent for Breathing can be trained."
"Oh?" Nezu looked surprised. "I recall you saying you weren't interested in taking on more disciples."
"An acquaintance of mine has established a village—Kimetsu Village. Have you heard of it?"
"I’ve heard rumors. An ancient, prestigious family built it, if I’m not mistaken."
"The village is populated by master swordsmen of my lineage... masters of Breathing. They intend to establish a formal training institution."
"I see... and why tell me this?"
"I am proposing a partnership between our institutions."
"And the benefit for UA?"
"Strength. Students in the General Department, Support Department, or Management... anyone with the talent, even if their Quirk is unsuited for combat, can learn Breathing to become formidable Heroes."
"Heh... now that is interesting."
UA’s entrance exam was notoriously biased toward combat-oriented Quirks. Many students with potential were relegated to the General Course simply because their powers weren't suited for smashing robots. It was a constant point of criticism for the school.
"Everyone... deserves an equal opportunity to prove their worth," Michikatsu added.
Nezu considered this for a moment before answering. "Could you arrange a meeting with the head of this village? I’d like to speak with them before making a final decision."
"I shall arrange it."
Satisfied, Michikatsu left the office and immediately pulled out his phone to call Kagaya.
"This is the main topic for today's Homeroom. It may be sudden, but..."
Aizawa trailed off, making the class tense up in anticipation of another surprise test.
"You need to select a Class Representative."
"""FINALLY, SOMETHING NORMAL AND SCHOOL-LIKE!!!!"""
The class erupted in cheers.
"Silence! The role of representative is one of great responsibility! It’s a position for a leader, not just someone who wants it. It requires the trust of those around you! If we are to decide according to democratic principles, then... we shall hold a vote!"
"""""You’ve got your hand raised too, Iida-kun!!!!!"""""
"I truly wished to serve..." Tenya Iida sighed.
"We barely know each other yet, ribbit. Trust is a hard thing to measure right now," Tsu noted.
"If we vote, won't everyone just vote for themselves?!"
"Precisely! That's why the one who receives multiple votes is the one truly suited for the role! Isn't that right, Sensei?!"
"As long as you finish within the time limit... I don't care. Be rational," Aizawa muttered, retreating into his sleeping bag.
The results of the vote came in quickly:
[Himiko Tsugikuni: 6 votes]
[Momo Yaoyorozu: 4 votes]
[Izuku Midoriya: 2 votes]
[Shoko Todoroki: 2 votes]
"WHY DON'T I HAVE ANY?!" Bakugo roared in the background, only to be completely ignored.
"I am your Representative. I look forward to working with you all," Himiko chirped from the podium.
"And I shall assist as the Deputy Representative. Thank you for your support," Momo added.
The class applauded, looking forward to their leadership.
Lunchtime
Himiko and Momo were eating lunch together in the crowded cafeteria. Michikatsu had business to attend to, so it was just the two of them.
"Oh? Just the two of you today? Where’s Mr. Tsugikuni?" Mina asked, leaning in.
"Hello, Ashido-san. He has some business with the Principal, so he told us to eat ahead of him," Momo explained.
"Ugh... I missed eating with my Brother..." Himiko pouted, poking at her food.
As they spoke, a girl approached their table.
"You two... really like Michikatsu-san, don't you?"
"You are..."
"Shoko Todoroki... that’s my name."
Shoko introduced herself with her usual stoic expression and sat down beside them.
"I heard the rumors. You’re his fiancée... and you’re his sister."
Momo and Himiko sensed the deep curiosity hidden behind her flat tone. They exchanged a wary glance.
"Yes... that is correct. What of it?"
"Can you tell me? Michikatsu-san... what kind of person is he? What does he like? Favorite food? Hobbies? What is he good at?"
"Eh? Todoroki-san?"
"Will you... tell me?"
Looking into Shoko’s earnest, pleading eyes, Himiko and Momo were taken aback.
"Wait, Todoroki!" Mina chimed in. "Do you... do you actually like the Teacher?"
".............Yes (///////////)."
At Shoko’s shy admission, Mina’s jaw dropped. Momo and Himiko, however, finally relaxed. They smiled and gestured for her to sit closer.
"Oh, Todoroki-san! You truly recognize our Husband’s greatness. You have excellent taste," Momo praised.
"What exactly do you like about him, Shoko-chan?" Himiko asked eagerly.
Shoko looked down, blushing furiously. "He’s my savior... I fell for him at first sight... (/////////)"
At the same time, in an alley near the UA gates...
"To think you intended to declare war on UA... what a foolhardy gamble."
"Guh... you... you bastard..."
Tomura Shigaraki was in a precarious situation.
Wearing a black hoodie and jeans, his messy grey hair obscuring his face, the leader of the League of Villains was shaking—not just with rage, but with genuine fear. He scratched his neck obsessively with four fingers, drawing blood, but he couldn't stop.
His plan had been perfect: use his Quirk, Decay, to turn the gate into dust, letting the mindless media swarm into the school grounds. This would trigger the intruder alarms, panic the students, and humiliate UA’s security. It was supposed to be a grand declaration of war.
But then, that six-eyed monster in human skin had ruined everything. He had somehow dispersed the reporters before the plan could even start. And when Shigaraki tried to decay the gate anyway, the man had caught him and dragged him into this secluded alleyway. Shigaraki had been beaten into the dirt, his body a map of bruises.
Damn it! Damn it!! Because of this guy! This freak!! Why is this happening to ME?! What did I do wrong?! Fuck!! It’s all his fault!! I’ll kill him!! I’ll kill him!!! If he hadn't interfered, this would have worked!! It’s not fair! If Nomu were here, I’d crush a guy like him!!
"Sigh... looking at your face... you haven't reflected on your actions at all."
Michikatsu looked down at Tomura as if he were looking at a maggot in a dumpster.
"FUCK YOU!! FUCK FUCK FUCK!!! I'll kill you! I'll kill all of you!! I'll slaughter you all beneath my feet!! If you ever cross my path again, you’re dead!! I’ll tear you apart with my own hands!!!"
Shigaraki’s tantrum was pathetic—the whining of a spoiled child who couldn't handle the world not going his way. He was a 'man-child' who refused to admit his own weakness, blaming everything on the world and those around him.
As Michikatsu prepared to end him, a mass of black mist—a warp gate—enveloped Shigaraki’s body. In an instant, the villain vanished from the alley.
Michikatsu clicked his tongue. He should have taken the head immediately instead of trying to beat information out of him.
"Next time... at the USJ... I shall ensure your head leaves your shoulders."
Regrettably, the Villains' first declaration of war had been dismantled with pathetic ease.
