My vision went dark.
Then it was painted white again.
Before long, everything turned completely white, and my sight slowly returned.
"Where am I?"
Without thinking, he looked down at his hands.
"Huh? More importantly, where is this?"
"Hey! I told you not to lift your head, huh?"
He snapped his head to the side. Some kind of robot was standing there, holding a wooden club.
"Who are you?"
"What the hell? You got hit and lost your mind?"
The robot swung the club down on his head.
"Kuhk!"
It hit so hard that blood splattered from the impact.
"You bastard! A beating is what it takes! To knock some sense! Into you!"
"Stop! Please stop! I'm sorry, so please—"
"Stop? You think you're something special, don't you? Fine. I'll give you exactly what you want."
And so he was beaten for thirty minutes straight. His whole body wouldn't move, and his arms felt like they had been broken.
The pain was so intense he couldn't endure it; every part of him ached. Then he blacked out from the agony.

When he woke again, his whole body was throbbing.
"Damn it, where the hell is this?"
Then, after searching the room, he went into what looked like a bathroom.
"? Wait, wings and horns? And that thing above my head—isn't that a halo?"
He reached up and felt around his head, touching the horns.
"For real?"
As soon as he touched them, a ticklish sensation ran through his head.
"Hold on. Then does that mean this is really Kivotos?"
Quietly, he stepped out into the living room and looked out the window.
Outside, there was a gigantic ring.
"What the hell..."
