Hello.
Before I knew it, this novel has already passed the middle and wrapped up the Shibuya Incident.
It feels strange to see something I started with the lighthearted intention of just trying my hand at it grow this far after crossing 70 chapters.
I think it’s all thanks to the readers who have liked my writing. From here on, I’ll keep doing my best to repay that with good writing and run all the way to the end.
Ah, and some of you said maybe this would end at the Shibuya Incident, but the Culling Game had its own appeal too...
The flow is pretty damn stupid, sure, but I still think there were plenty of charming character designs and action sequences in it. It’d be a shame to throw all of that away. Since the real fun of parody lies in twisting the original into something tasty, I’ll do my best to bring it to life properly through enough thought and adaptation.
Of course, that doesn’t mean I’m going to stray from the big picture or write this as pure hate fiction. No matter how stupid Gege is, in the end I’m only riding on the original’s popularity.
Without the existing fandom of Jujutsu Kaisen, would my insignificant writing have gotten this much attention? That’s how I see it. I think you can massage and twist the parts that can be changed, but respect for the original has to be there at the base.
Lastly, since I’ve wrapped up a major section, I thought this would be a good time to take a moment and go over the things readers may have been curious about in this novel.
With the Culling Game episode coming up, and the final arc along with a whole bunch of new foreshadowing and characters appearing, I thought some整理 and review might be necessary.
There were probably parts I wanted to convey but couldn’t quite get across because I lacked the skill to express them well.
So I figured I’d give this a try. If you leave questions in the comments, I’ll answer them one by one as sincerely as I can.
+Since I’m getting away with a free ride with today’s Q&A, tomorrow I’ll be posting two chapters.
