Chapter 33: Judgment

Baghdad, Iraq. An underground secret bunker belonging to Al-Qaera.

"Leader! General Leader!"

Osara Bin Denra, the head of Al-Qaera, glared in irritation at the subordinate who had burst through the bunker door without warning.

"Where are your manners? Why are you making such a damn racket?"

"It is a disaster, Leader! The Americans! The US military has pushed all the way up to Baghdad!"

"What? Hah! What is so great about that? They are nothing but Yankee bastards! No one can defeat us in guerrilla warfare! We simply need to show the power of Allah to those who have become arrogant acting as the world's police."

"That is not the problem! It is Espers! A unit composed of superhumans has invaded, and we are being swept away without any means of resistance!"

At the subordinate's words, Bin Denra slammed his desk in shock, which quickly curdled into rage.

"Even if they are Espers, they still die from bullets, don't they?! Fire missiles, RPGs, or even anti-air batteries! Use everything!"

"We managed to kill a few with those, but they were the minority! The weapons barely work, and against the one at the front—the commander—nothing works at all!"

"What?"

"Bullets, missiles... he blocks everything with his bare body!"

"That makes no sense! No matter how much of an Esper they are, they cannot be invincible!"

Bin Denra vented his frustration on his subordinate, but there was nothing he could actually do.

"..............."

And standing behind him, listening in silence, was a single man... or rather, Raven, disguised as an anonymous soldier of Al-Qaera.

Through her shapeshifting ability, she had deceived everyone's eyes to infiltrate Al-Qaera. She had transmitted the floor plans of the underground bunkers and bases, as well as the positions of the ambushing guerrilla forces. A long-term war that would have normally taken weeks had been compressed into a single week. Naturally, Bin Denra had no way of understanding the cause.

He was at a total loss as to where the information was leaking, who was stealing it, or how the classified intel was being siphoned out.

‘How foolish...’

Raven was mocking Bin Denra in her heart.

Her mind was currently linked with Charles, a powerful telepath. If she simply retrieved classified documents, read them, and returned them to their place, it was a perfect crime. There was no way for her to be caught.

"Leader... rather than worrying about that, should we not gather and consolidate the troops quickly? Civil war is no longer the priority."

Raven pretended to persuade him, intending to gather the forces in one place so that the extremist group Al-Qaera could be wiped out in one fell swoop.

"You are right! Call for the children and the pregnant women! Strap bombs to their bodies and arm them! We must strike them down in the name of Allah!"

"Understood. (You disgusting piece of filth...)"

Due to the numerous civil conflicts and the struggle against Zod's League, Al-Qaera was suffering from a shortage of manpower. Consequently, they had been committing horrific atrocities—using boy soldiers who had been brainwashed since childhood under the guise of Allah’s command, along with pregnant women. They utilized those who were socially vulnerable and meant to be protected—new lives that should never be touched—as both hostages and expendable soldiers.

Raven wanted to kill Bin Denra on the spot, but the aftermath would be the greater problem. She couldn't see a clear path to escape safely after an assassination.

‘Brother... hurry... innocent lives are being lost again...’

‘Don't worry, Raven. We will be right next to you within a day... just hold on for one more day. I'm counting on you.’

‘I understand...’

Raven severed the mental transmission and stepped outside.

"Those damned bastards......"

Erik grimaced as he looked at the corpses of boy soldiers and the female brigades. Some of the students turned their heads away, retching.

"Even for them, this is too much... children and women... they even wrapped bombs around them to make them blow themselves up."

Faced with the cruelty and inhumane atrocities of Al-Qaera, the members of The League reached the peak of their fury.

"............(How irrational.)"

Zod.05, possessing a nature that could be described as naturally malevolent or sociopathic, looked upon Al-Qaera's actions—using children and women as suicide bombers—and simply deemed it illogical and foolish.

"Tch......"

Even the Alters frowned, their wrath ignited by Al-Qaera's barbaric acts.

"Zod-chan... these bastards... I'll never forgive them...."

"They are not warriors, just pathetic cowards...."

"I'll give them a nice, cool air-hole in their skulls...."

"No matter how rotten the Knights of the Round Table were, they at least maintained a sense of human decency... but this? This is not even human."

Zod, understanding why they were angry based on the situation and his grasp of ethical logic, feigned his own surging rage. He decided to use this moment as propaganda.

"Look, everyone... these are those who have abandoned their humanity. We are here to sweep away such filth! Perhaps in your hearts, you still considered them human and hesitated to 'cleanse' them... but look. Is this truly the work of the same species?"

Even without using the Grail’s power for hypnosis or brainwashing, Zod was a master of rhetoric—a world-class demagogue capable of manipulating others' psyches for his own advantage with just his words.

He used the present tragedy to carve the idea into their minds that their actions were a righteous 'Judgment.'

Persuaded by his rhetoric and the sheer barbarity of Al-Qaera, the students now felt an absolute animosity. They began to slaughter the terrorists without a single shred of hesitation.

Zod gave a satisfied smile at the sight and used his Heat Vision to bisect every enemy in his path.

.

.

.

"Die, you Yankee bastards!!!"

"Allah is Great!!!"

Watching the terrorists aim and fire while reciting the same repetitive lines, Zod felt only pity. Why could they not realize that the weapons of this modern era could never reach him?

"Pathetic......"

Vrooooooooom—! BOOOM!!!

Firing his Heat Vision, Zod cruelly carved them in half. He gave a disdainful look at the terrorists still desperately emptying their magazines at him and then charged forward with a burst of speed.

Thwack—! CRUNCH—!

Swinging his fists, he exploded the heads of terrorists and pierced through their abdomens and solar plexuses, personally ushering each of them to the afterlife.

"Die, vermin...."

Vrooooooom..... BOOOOM!!!

As he unleashed his Heat Vision, their bodies were cleanly split. The heat from the mystery cauterized the wounds instantly; though their bodies were divided, blood did not spray forth. However, the sight of countless bisected corpses was certainly not a pleasant one.

"Now then......"

Vring.....

Zod used his X-ray vision to scan the earth, searching for the underground bunker. Eventually, his gaze fixed on a single point.

"Found it..."

He had located their bunker deep beneath the surface.

"Erik.... pull it up."

"As you wish."

Erik nodded at Zod's command. Reaching out, he seized the metal structure buried deep underground and dragged it forcefully to the surface. He then ripped the entrance of the bunker wide open. Inside, Osara Bin Denra and the Al-Qaera leadership stared at them with eyes wide in terror. Guarding soldiers drew rifles and pistols, but Erik instantly stripped them of their weapons, turned the guns around, and aimed the loaded muzzles back at them.

"Raven... good work."

No sooner had Charles finished speaking than Raven rushed out, releasing her transformation and returning to her original form.

Her true appearance—blue skin covered in fine scales, with yellow irises and black sclera...

"Fuck! You monster bitch! So that's how our secrets were leaking!"

Bin Denra barked in agitation, but Raven simply responded by raising her middle finger.

"I surrender... I have yielded, so arrest me at once!"

"Arrest? Ha!"

Raven felt nauseated by Bin Denra’s shamelessness.

"You are thicker-skinned than I imagined. Do you truly think we came all the way to this foreign land just to place you under arrest?"

Zod stepped forward, looking down at Bin Denra with a cold, expressionless face. Seeing Zod's youthful appearance, Bin Denra sneered.

"Ha! The American Yankees must be truly desperate for manpower, using a brat like you as a soldier."

"I don't think you're in a position to speak, given you strap bombs to children and use them as suicide soldiers."

"This is all the will of Allah!"

Zod let out a hollow laugh at Bin Denra's claim.

"Then the god of Islam must be a psychopath. If it is the will of a god to use children, the elderly, and even pregnant women as suicide weapons, then that god is far from sane."

Bin Denra flew into a rage at Zod’s mockery.

"Are you insulting the Great Allah right now?!!!"

"Yes, I'm insulting him. That pathetic Allah of yours, or Muhammad? Encouraging war, making brothers kill one another... A god like that deserves followers like you. What are you, animals? Does it make you feel good to attack your own kind?"

"You brat!! I'll kill you!!"

Bin Denra held a detonator in his hand, attempting to blow himself up.

"There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger!!"

"Ridiculous...."

Vroooooooom..... BOOOM!!!

Zod sneered as his Heat Vision instantly incinerated the man's hand.

"Go on, then—try praying to that glorious Allah of yours, you terrorist scum."

"You... you Yankee bastard!!!!"

"So noisy......"

Vroooooooom...... BOOOM!!!

Zod unleashed his Heat Vision once more, completely incinerating Bin Denra's head.

"Tch...... Erik."

"Yes, Secretary."

"Collect every anti-air missile and cannon in the vicinity... and use them to level this entire area."

"As you wish."

The League: Elimination of Al-Qaera's leader, Osara Bin Denra, confirmed. After devastating the Al-Qaera headquarters and the surrounding dozens of kilometers, they returned to the United States....
