Chapter 10: The King of New York (2)

"Haha~ You've always had a wonderful sense of wit, Representative."

"And you, my boy, truly possess a remarkable sense of tact."

In the penthouse suite of a five-star hotel in New York, a finely dressed, rotund man and Zod exchanged toasts. The man sipped his wine while Zod paired his company with grape juice, both partaking in a display of mutual cordiality.

The man was a member of the New York City Council, a Representative of the lower house with considerable influence and a promising future. He came from a prestigious lineage that had produced city councilors for generations. Zod had lobbied the Council so extensively that he was not only granted private audiences with such men, but the Council itself had begun to bend to his convenience. They had reached a point where, unless it was a matter of global catastrophe, even the most blatant murders would be overlooked.

"By the way, you are quite the remarkable one! Where on earth did you find such a charming secretary?"

The man looked at Mata Hari, who was clad in a bespoke suit, and let out a voice of genuine admiration. It wasn't just her face; her physique was the very definition of the 'glamour' that Americans idolized. Her swaying, ample breasts and the subtle movement of her hips possessed a charm that forced anyone, regardless of gender, to steal a second look.

"It was a coincidence—the result of a stroke of luck that brought such a connection to me. Mata Hari, greet him... This is Representative James."

"My, it is an honor to meet you, Representative James. I am Mata Hari, Master Zod's personal secretary. My Master is always in your debt, so I ask for your continued favor."

With a bright smile, she bowed politely. Her ample chest, reminiscent of heavy fruit, succumbed to the law of gravity as she tilted forward. Even wrapped tightly within the constraints of a professional suit, their presence was impossible to ignore. James found himself unable to tear his eyes away from Mata Hari’s cleavage.

"Representative..."

"Ah... Ahem! My apologies. For a man of my standing to behave so unseemly..."

"Not at all. Isn't that simply the nature of the creature known as 'man'?"

Zod responded with a stiff, calculated smile, while James inwardly wiped a cold sweat from his brow.

"Ahem! In any case, putting that aside... the newly inaugurated Commissioner is a man who knows his place. He will work himself to the bone to ensure he doesn't fall out of your favor. So..."

Seeing James trail off with a lingering look of expectation, Zod let out a short smirk and snapped his fingers. At that signal, Mata Hari presented a briefcase and clicked it open. Inside was a dense collection of bundled hundred-dollar bills.

"Oh my! To go through such trouble..."

"It is merely a small token of my sincerity. And... Mata Hari."

"Yes, Master."

Mata Hari produced an elegant wooden box. James’s expression betrayed his curiosity regarding its contents.

"It is a French vintage of the highest grade. The very same variety presented to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom."

"Ooh!! ...Ahem... Well, I shall certainly take your sincerity to heart. If there is ever any inconvenience, do not hesitate to speak. I shall see to it."

"I am simply grateful."

Zod bowed politely, and James instructed his bodyguard to secure the 'sincerity' that had been delivered to him.

"You're back. Was the transaction successful?"

As Zod stepped out of the hotel and into the waiting car, Artoria Alter was the one gripping the steering wheel.

"Yeah, it went smoothly. Those pigs... no matter how high they hold their heads as 'representatives,' if you just grease their palms and stroke their egos, they'll offer every convenience in the book."

"There were noble fools like that even in Britain... To think things have not changed at all..."

"The ruling class is arrogant. If you simply play along with their whims, they fall into the delusion that they are truly receiving respect. Foolish creatures."

Mata Hari nodded in agreement with Zod's words. As a spy, she had spent her life currying favor with political figures, using her body as a weapon. She had used her dance to bewitch influential politicians and high-ranking generals, and the moment she whispered a bit of praise, they would spill state secrets as easily as children starved for attention.

"The next appointment?"

At Zod’s question, Mata Hari performed the peculiar feat of unbuttoning her shirt slightly to retrieve a notebook from her ample cleavage. Artoria Alter, possessing a relatively modest chest, clicked her tongue and looked at Mata Hari with a look of pure irritation.

"The next item on the itinerary is dinner with the Mayor of New York, Master♡"

Zod nodded at Mata Hari's words. He reached out and traced the lines of her chest, savoring the soft texture that could be felt even through the fabric of her shirt and suit.

"Ahhn♡ Master is truly naughty♡ Your touch is so lewd♡"

"And do you hate it? Mata Hari."

Zod looked at Mata Hari with a sly smirk—one that didn't belong on the face of a twenty-year-old greenhorn. In response, Mata Hari smiled and finished unbuttoning her shirt entirely. Releasing her large, snowy-white breasts, she pulled Zod's face into her cleavage and blew softly into his ear.

"As if I could ever hate it♡ I want you to act even more spoiled with me♡ My Master... fufu."

"Gnnnh... (Grind!)"

From the driver's seat, Artoria Alter gnashed her teeth, glaring at Mata Hari with a murderous gaze. Mata Hari met that stare with a triumphant smile.
