Chapter 65: 65. Overpowered Gacha!

The [Transmigrant] title activated out of nowhere.

It was not a bad thing, but not knowing why left me feeling uneasy.

Wondering if there was a problem with the Mimic I had just put away, I opened my inventory.

"Hmm..."

I scrolled through the spacious inventory slots.

"Nothing seems wrong... Huh?"

Then I spotted a black object.

For one thing, my inventory did not have an appraisal function.

Which meant it was an unidentified item.

It looked like someone had painted one of my inventory slots black.

"Is this why [Transmigrant] activated?"

I reached for it to take it out, then hesitated.

"It looks way too ominous..."

Better safe than sorry, so I put a magic crystal taken from an Orc's body into the black slot.

Swoosh.

"...Nope."

I had tried it just in case, but as expected.

The magic crystal was simply stored neatly beside the black slot. It neither upgraded nor vanished.

There were four hours left until the labyrinth opened. Plenty of time.

I had plenty of free time, so I could check it out inside.

If something strange happened while I was outside the labyrinth...

Before taking it out, I stocked up on Floor 11 portals and return portals.

My inventory had spare room, so if I had the space, I might as well prepare thoroughly.

I packed magic crystals too, along with the necklace the Great Warrior had worn, which I had received as a reward.

"Hmm. I packed everything properly. Then..."

With the thought of summoning a Floor 9.5 portal in my hand ready, I took out the black object...

Splat!

"Ugh... What is that?"

A sticky lump fell to the ground.

What was that? A pitch-black oyster? A lump of black flesh? A Mimic corpse?

I kept a slight distance as I stared at the lump.

The lump on the ground began moving on its own, stretching, tearing, and clumping together.

It moved like the alien monster from some movie.

My unfortunate imagination pictured myself being assimilated by some bizarre life-form.

Clang!

If it came at me, I would run. And if I could not run, should I cut it down?

But nothing of the sort happened, making me feel foolish.

After wriggling around for a while, the lump began taking shape.

Wriggle, wriggle...

It turned round, and then...

Flash!

As though hatching from an egg, something emerged from within the lump.

It was...

"???? An essence?!?!!?"

An essence had popped out.

I carefully approached and tapped the essence with the tip of my sword.

Tick! Tick!

"...What is this? Why did an essence suddenly come out?"

There was no response even when I touched it, so I picked up the essence rolling around on the ground.

Yellow, with a brilliant gleam.

It was an essence. Definitely an essence.

Was it a Mimic essence? How had it been made?

Thump! Thump!

My heart pounded fiercely with excitement.

I covered my mouth, holding back the exclamation about to burst out.

If this was a Mimic essence, then I had essentially acquired a duplication bug.

And even if it was not a Mimic essence, who cared? An essence had come out!

I put in another Mimic corpse.

Hum.

Just as expected, another black slot appeared.

My inventory did not expand any further, but this was much better.

"One! What if I put in one more?"

There were three Mimic corpses left.

I put in another Mimic.

Hum.

"Hmm, that is a shame... No, what am I saying? This is already amazing!"

Nothing upgraded.

Another black slot simply appeared beside the first one.

Grinning broadly, I scattered all the lumps across the floor.

The lumps changed shape...

Squirm, squirm.

"What? Why is this one so long... A spear?"

They turned into a spear and a bow, respectively.

"...?"

I picked up the spear and bow and stared blankly at them.

"They are shiny, so they look like decent quality... Huh?"

Could this be not a bug that produced essences, but simply a gacha ticket?

They did not emit the light from when I had received the essence at first.

"...Was that the grand prize?"

It seemed the essence had been quite a good reward.

I put away weapons that looked more expensive than Mimic corpses.

Morning three, evening four—no, evening three, morning four.

If I had gotten weapons first and an essence afterward, I would have been overjoyed.

But why was it that humans were so fickle, that I felt disappointed instead?

Right. Something strong enough to activate [Transmigrant]... I should not get too greedy.

Once I got myself under control, my hands began to itch.

Gacha? There was no reason not to do this.

A low-risk, high-return gacha that gave out decent-looking weapons and, if I was lucky, even essences!

A gacha only I could do!

So this was why people could not quit gambling. I could not stop thinking about that thrilling sensation from just before.

I put in the remaining two Mimic corpses.

When I scattered the black objects onto the ground, they turned into a magic stone and a poor-quality-looking sword.

"...?"

It was not as though I cared now that I had plenty of money, but...

"Why am I pissed off?"

Not getting what I wanted from the gacha, and knowing I could not roll anymore, left me frustrated.

This was... gambling?

Three hours and thirty minutes remained.

I would climb as far as I could go.

After coming back out, I would register officially and enter again.

While everyone else was still on the lower floors, I could go straight to Floor 11.

"Urgh, I really should not gamble."

I put my hand into the portal leading to Floor 10.5.

**

Starting from Floor 11 was the jungle zone.

The entrance to a place called the Snake Temple, which began from Floor 14.

It was the graveyard of adventurers who had only just shed their newbie status, a place overflowing with every sort of poison and insect.

Letting down one's guard could leave one paralyzed or asleep, and countless people lost their lives that way.

Still, I was fine. I had a return portal and the [Poison Resistance] skill, so if anything felt off, I just had to escape.

Keeping a reasonable level of tension, I plunged my head into the ground.

Thud!

That chest I spotted earlier... There it is.

The chest was visible far in the distance. It was beside a forked tree, making it easy to remember.

After checking whether there were insects on the tree, I wedged my body into it.

This was where [Warrior's Charge] truly shone.

According to the experiment I had done on Floor 8, the deeper I embedded myself before using it, the farther it launched me.

Conversely, embedding myself shallowly launched me only a short distance.

The problem was that it consumed quite a bit of health.

Walls drained the most health, and the sturdier they were, the more health they seemed to take.

Swoosh.

I wedged myself into the tree...

[Warrior's Charge].

Boing~

I flew straight ahead.

The exhilarating sensation of floating, the sting in my eyes.

To take care of the monsters around the chest, I used [Warrior's Charge] once more.

Whoosh!

"Sshak???"

The Lizardman raised its head at the sudden sound of wind, but it was already too late.

With a sword carrying the force of my acceleration, I ripped through the Lizardman from its head down between its legs.

Riiip!

"“Kyaaaak!”"

Seeing their companion split in half, the monsters charged with bloodshot eyes.

One had a slick body and raised a rusty trident.

I thrust my sword between the prongs of the trident and activated the [Bug Sword].

Clang! Swish! Splurt!

After using [Qi Sense] to evade the attack coming from my left, I smashed a fist filled with Heavenly Demon qi into its side.

Crack!

The Lizardman died instantly as its ribs shattered.

Then a swift attack registered in my [Qi Sense].

Whoosh! Whip!

I raised my sword to block it, and a pink mass had wrapped around the blade.

"Gek!!"

It was a Frog's tongue.

Seeing inside the mouth of that frog-like monster made me feel sick.

I put strength into my arm and yanked it closer by the tongue, then sent sword qi through my blade and cut the tongue off.

Splat!

"Keeeek~"

I drove my sword into the mouth of the creature flying toward me with its tongue severed, then twisted my wrist.

Crunch!

Done!

"No essence came out..."

One of the Lizardman's signature essences was [Thermoregulation]. An ability that allowed one to change their body temperature.

I did want it, but I could not expect to be satisfied from the very first bite.

I thoroughly cut open the Mimic's insides and headed for my next target.

Two ordinary chests on the way, and a little farther on, a Mimic...

I was dying to roll the gacha. Before, it had been so expensive that I could not even dream of it...

But now, I was practically in a position where I had a gacha that duplicated money.

It was something I did at the risk of my life, but it was so fun.

Coming to the labyrinth was genuinely fun.

I pulled myself together and headed toward my next destination.

But I could not hide the curl of my lips.

**

When does a woman's libido reach its peak?

What was there to say? From the onset of puberty, for her entire life.

There could be individual differences, but most women had tremendous sexual appetites.

But what if she was an elf who had suppressed that libido with work for a long time?

The result was this.

Thrust, thrust♥ Thrust, thrust♥ Thrust, thrust♥ Thrust, thrust♥ Thrust, thrust♥

"Huaaang♥ Ryu-o♥ Ryu-o♥"

Here was an elf who had built up a powder keg of sexual desire over a long period, now burning fiercely after encountering the detonator known as Ryu-o.

The trigger had been her doing naughty things with Ryu-o's clothes some time ago, only to find that her head had cleared and some of her fatigue had gone away.

But that was like a thirsty person cutting open their own belly to drink their blood.

It relieved her sexual desire for the moment, but it could not soothe her aching heart.

As that vicious cycle repeated, Sylvia gained another trait.

Following [Half-Elf], [Workaholic], [Smoking], and [Old Maid], came [Masturbation Addict].

She had now become a pitiful elf who soothed her aching parts while holding Ryu-o's damp clothes, which were almost saturated with her own scent.

She had really intended not to do it today, but while preparing to go pick up Ryu-o...

Slurp, squelch! Rub, rub, rub♥

This happened.

Sylvia violently rubbed her shriveled little nub.

Her lubricant had foamed white and spread wide.

"Ryu-o♥ It feels so good there♥ Hnnngh♥!!♥♥!! Munch, munch..."

Sylvia bit down on and soaked Ryu-o's clothes.

As she sucked greedily on the dampened clothes, it felt as though Ryu-o's taste was spreading through her mouth.

For the record, she had bought clothes in the same size and sent new clothes to the ducal house.

In any case, as Sylvia worked so diligently, before she knew it...

Twitch! Squeeze! Spurt!

"Haaah, aaah...♥"

She went limp, overcome with deep satisfaction.

...There really was no other way to describe her than a perverted fucking elf.

In the clarity of post-orgasmic lucidity, Sylvia blankly stared at the ceiling.

"I've... really lost my mind..."

She thought every day that she should stop, but her longing had reached the point where she could no longer endure it.

Still, things were better now that she had at least taken this emergency measure.

With slightly calmer eyes, Sylvia blankly stared at the two [Banshee's Cloaks].

...If I only take one.

As Sylvia entertained that naughty thought, a signal rang out from her palm.

Beep beep beep beep.

"Eek! S-sorry! Ah, whew..."

Seeing the signal Ryu-o had sent, Sylvia roughly wiped her swollen hand and pulled on a cloak.

This time, she took one more cloak with her before setting off.
