First of all, my surname is Nakamura. As for my given name... I’d rather not say it for the sake of my privacy, in more ways than one.
Anyway, to put it bluntly, I was once an ordinary young man who liked a trash-tier gacha game called Fate/Grand Order, and while walking across a crosswalk as I watched the Part 2, Chapter 6 later PV on a YouTube stream, I got hit by a car and died.
.....Damn it! My life was still in its prime!! I hadn’t even finished Chapter 6 yet... Ugh... I’d heard a few spoilers, sure, but it only meant something if I saw it myself......
But strangely enough, I was reincarnated. No, I’m not lying—I really was. The kind of thing that only happens in novels happened to me too.
I was reborn in Japan around 1838, near the end of the shogunate.
About seventeen years before the Black Ships incident. An era on the verge of the Bakumatsu.
At first, I spent my days half out of my mind, wondering where I was and who I was, but thankfully I managed to adapt as time went on.
Then, when the Black Ships incident broke out, I, who had been born in the Satsuma Domain, secretly boarded one of the ships that the great men had sent to England with their students, thinking that if we were going to be left behind by the tide of history, we couldn’t just sit there and do nothing. That was how I made it to England.
Why? Because even in this age of blatant racism, where they’d call you a yellow monkey or worse, I figured it would still be better to come to England and work as a laborer or whatever than to be swept up in Bakumatsu-era Japan and wind up God knows where.
But then.....
"?????"
When I slipped off the ship and, exhausted from the long voyage, fell asleep only to wake up, the place before my eyes was nothing like the England I knew.
Open fields, London’s gray smog nowhere to be seen, and a sky spread wide overhead in beautiful colors.
........Wait. That sky. I feel like I’ve seen it in some trash game before.
No way. That can’t be it.....?
.......Please tell me it isn’t so...
