“Bwahahaha! I never imagined the Red Dragon Emperor himself would graciously visit our mansion! I don’t know where to put myself, bwahahaha!”
“Ahahaha, it would be rude to refuse such a kind invitation.”
“And you’re humble too, bwahahaha!”
Across the table, the middle-aged man and Issei laughed heartily at each other, while beside Issei sat Sigbaira, staring blankly as though her soul had wandered off.
And not just any outfit—she was wearing the most extravagant dress she had ever worn in her life. The meaning of that attire was obvious.
“Since Lord Issei has agreed to take my daughter, I can’t begin to tell you how relieved I am. As you can see, she has both looks and talent, but she’s had terrible luck with men.”
The Grand Duke himself had stepped forward, determined to marry his daughter Sigbaira off to Issei. To a noble house, dedicating oneself to the family was only natural, and that was how the House Agares thought. Sigbaira had believed the same as a noblewoman. Who could have guessed it would happen now of all times?
“However, I do have one condition.”
“Name anything.”
At Issei’s words, the Grand Duke had been prepared to accept any material condition and even to give anything for the sake of the Demon World, but—
“I understand you want to marry off your daughter quickly, Grand Duke. But since your daughter’s own wishes matter too, perhaps it would be best to let her spend some time in the Human World first and decide after that...”
For Issei, forced marriage was not something he liked either. Rias was the prime example of that.
“I see. I never imagined you would even consider your daughter’s feelings. A hero’s vessel is on a different level entirely, hahaha!”
“Eh? Then...”
When the Grand Duke accepted Issei’s proposal, Sigbaira thought, “I’m doomed.” But the family’s interests were important too. Honestly, she didn’t want to marry a complete stranger, but that was what most noble political marriages were like, and Sigbaira had been somewhat prepared for it. Besides, if she married Issei, the Grand Duke’s house and Issei would be tied together, and that meant the Demon World and Issei would be tied together as well.
Of course, there was also the benefit that the Grand Duke’s house would gain greater standing by obtaining Issei, and Sigbaira herself was prepared to sacrifice for her family. From that perspective, it would be better to marry Issei as soon as possible and secure the position of first wife, but still, being sent off to marry a man she didn’t know at all was not exactly appealing. Sigbaira was torn, unable to tell whether she should be happy or sad.
“Lady Sigbaira, you don’t need to force yourself. This is only a proposal from me personally because I have feelings for you, so if you don’t want it, you can refuse...”
Issei seemed to have seen through Sigbaira’s worries. Or rather, it was hard to imagine Issei’s intelligence actually picking up on that, so it was probably just part of his flirting. And it seemed to work.
“N-no! I-I’m honored that someone like me would be married by Lord Issei. Please don’t misunderstand—I’m just happy, that’s all.”
“I-I see...”
To avoid offending Issei, she was being as polite as possible. And those polite words were interpreted by Issei as—
“S-surely! Lady Sigbaira has feelings for me too!?”
He had translated it in his own special way as mutual love, and he looked ready to spend the first night the moment they got back. As the two of them created such a warm, cheerful atmosphere together, the Grand Duke said,
“Hahaha, it seems I needn’t worry. I’d only be in the way here, so please, enjoy some private time together.”
With that, he stepped away, and the two were left alone.
“I-I can touch her, right?”
True to his instincts, Issei immediately moved in on Sigbaira, pressing close enough that their arms touched.
“!!...I-I still don’t know much about Lord Issei... Could you tell me about yourself?”
“About me? Hmm...”
Realizing Issei’s intentions as he leaned in, Sigbaira wasn’t mentally prepared for his attack, so she threw out a question to stall for time.
“Yes, first of all, I love breasts the most!”
“Eh?”
“N-no, that was a mistake just now!”
He blurted it out without thinking. Startled by his own reflexive answer, Issei clapped a hand over his mouth and tried to explain, but Sigbaira had already blushed faintly at the word “breasts” and seemed to be growing wary.
At this point, Issei was in a life-or-death crisis.
“Damn it! This isn’t how it’s supposed to go!”
“Well, that much is true.”
“Eh? This gauntlet is... Could it be the Red Dragon?”
“Draig!?”
Draig suddenly popped out on his own.
“My partner’s source of power is women’s breasts, after all. If not for that trait of my partner’s, he never would have been able to defeat Uchiha Madara.”
Draig began covering for Issei in his place. And honestly, what Draig said was true. In fact, Issei had been pushed back by Madara, then awakened after seeing Gabriel’s breasts and managed to subdue Madara.
“I-is that so? So the source of Lord Issei’s power is breasts.”
With the Two Heavenly Dragons speaking up directly, Sigbaira began taking it seriously and started analyzing the situation.
“Then is the source of Lord Issei’s power specifically the female body? Or... um... the sexual parts...?”
She stumbled a little, embarrassed to say it herself, and naturally Issei answered,
“Yes, both! Breasts and sexual things are the best!”
“I-I see...”
At a glance—no, no matter how you looked at it—it was the very definition of a perverted statement. But the source of Issei’s power was important even in the Demon World, so Sigbaira did not simply dismiss him as a degenerate.
“Then does it also depend on the person?”
“Hmm, probably?”
“I see... Then...”
With that, she even overcame her embarrassment and began analyzing him in earnest. And when Draig kindly explained further, her face turned red.
“J-just how much... can I...”
Sigbaira’s face was as red as a tomato. It was embarrassing, yes, but this was important information for the Demon World. If something happened to the Demon World, whether she could draw out enough of Issei’s power might decide the Demon World’s survival.
“That would be...”
Of course, Issei had never actually tried it, so he had no way of knowing. But there was a reason empty flattery existed.
“If it’s you, Lady Sigbaira, I feel like you could blast away several Madaras!”
“R-really?”
“Yes!”
At Issei’s sweet talk, Sigbaira finally smiled. Their conversation had become intensely sexual, the sort of thing any ordinary woman would have recoiled from, but Sigbaira somehow looked shy instead. This was the Red Dragon Emperor’s passive skill for winning over the opposite sex—the absurdly broken ability Draig had mentioned before, the kind that made the opposite sex favor him without him even doing anything special. Neither Issei nor Sigbaira realized it, and Issei was simply thrilled that Sigbaira had practically fallen for him.
And after talking so long on the same subject that they lost track of time, Sigbaira said,
“I feel like I understand a little more about Lord Issei now.”
“I-is that so?”
“Yes, that you’re extremely ‘perverted.’”
“Eh!?”
As expected, after talking with Issei for so long, she had seen through the core of him and reached the conclusion that he was no different from the lust-crazed males scattered everywhere. But unlike those men—
“And also, you’re kind and actually think about your partner properly.”
Unlike Raiser and the other nobles, even though he possessed the power to dominate the world, he was not arrogant and did not look down on others. She thought that the attitude of someone standing high above, yet still considering the other party as an equal, was not something just anyone could have. In truth, he was just a high school student who had only recently gained power and still didn’t know how to use authority and strength. But to Sigbaira, that looked like the vessel of a great ruler.
“They say heroes are lecherous, don’t they? I suppose I’ll just have to adapt to that.”
She had worried that a man who proposed marriage on their first meeting might just be a male obsessed only with lust, but after speaking properly with him, she felt a sense of familiarity and let her guard down.
“Then I’ll go pack my things, so please wait a moment.”
“Yes.”
She left to prepare her belongings for staying in the ninja castle of the Human World, and Issei was left thinking only—
“I did it!! I can’t wait to feel Lady Sigbaira’s breasts, hehehe...”
His head was already completely full of nothing but touching Sigbaira’s chest. It seemed like the world would be better off if Madara dealt with this lust demon as soon as possible. And as the saying went, if you stay in one place too long, your tail gets caught.
“! P-please wait! Even if you’re the next head of House Gremory... kyaaa!”
“What’s going on? Somehow...”
There was a commotion at the entrance, and as the sounds of servants being knocked aside while trying to stop an intruder drew closer, Issei felt an inexplicable chill.
“G-Grand Duke! Kyaa!”
One servant ran toward the Grand Duke of Agares for help, but was silenced by something before reaching him. And when the source of that disturbance finally came into view—
“W-what is it...!!”
“So you were here, Issei~”
There stood Rias, dressed in a gorgeous gown, looking as though she had rushed over in the middle of business. Her dead eyes and the upward curl of her lips made her look dangerous at a glance. The moment Issei saw her, he nearly jumped out of his skin.
“S-senpai, why are you here...?”
“Ufufu, why do you think? Hey, Issei, don’t you have any idea?”
“Eh... uh, well...”
While seducing Sigbaira, he had apparently not thought about Rias or Raynare at all, and only now did he realize he was in serious trouble.
“Fine. Then I’ll make you understand until the day you die, you idiottttt!!”
Rias’s vast magical power burst forth and swept over Issei.
“Hiiik!”
That level of magical power would have been easy to block, but what was terrifying was the atmosphere, so he couldn’t defend himself properly. The attack brushed past him, slicing his cheek and drawing blood.
“S-senpai...?”
“Ufufufufufu, after I told you so many times, you still can’t help yourself, Issei. Die ten thousand times!!”
Rias kept blasting magic at him, and Issei could only crouch down and wait for the attacks to stop. Rias was angry, but she wasn’t unreasonable enough to truly attack the one she loved, so she only fired randomly without aiming.
“Why! Why! Why do you keep touching other women when I’m right here!?”
Tears welling in her eyes, she shouted,
“I’d even forgive you for having one or two girlfriends!”
She had never even officially dated him, yet she was speaking as if she were his legal wife.
“But this is too much! An angel! A yokai! And now you’re even marrying Sigbaira! Was I just something you played with for fun...? That’s awful... this is awful.”
Apparently she had picked up the information somewhere, and she had lost all reason at the news that he was marrying another woman while leaving her behind. She kept firing until she finally grew tired and stopped.
“...S-senpai?”
“...”
“A-are you all right?”
It was definitely wrong of him to have given in to a moment of lust and seduced Sigbaira while Rias was right there. He approached the crying Rias, who had gone still.
“Sob... sob... does this look all right to you?”
The usual calm, proud, and wise image of the high-ranking devil was nowhere to be seen. All that remained was a pitiful girl who looked as though she had just stopped crying.
Seeing Rias’s vulnerable side for the first time, Issei fell for her all over again, and then—
“I’m sorry!”
He hugged Rias.
Rias didn’t seem to hate it, and she didn’t push him away. Instead, she just kept pounding on Issei’s chest.
“Idiot! Idiot! Idiot!”
It was a textbook lovers’ quarrel.
And at the perfect worst possible timing—
“Lord Issei, which of these outfits do you li... Lord Issei...?”
Sigbaira, who had come back down after packing, saw Issei hugging Rias and dropped the clothes she was holding.
“W-what are you doinggggg!!”
The proud, refined lady who was rumored never to have raised her voice in an uncouth way in her entire life was gone without a trace, replaced by Sigbaira’s shriek that seemed to shake the entire mansion.
