“...Ask Tamamo about that.”
Tamamo, who had been massaging him with sorcery beside the bed, pricked up her fox ears and narrowed her eyes at Kay’s answer, which was dripping with exhaustion.
“My, my? Just where did this ignorant big dog come rolling in from, trying to wedge herself into someone else’s household? No matter how much of the Fang Clan’s king you are, there is such a thing as first come, first served, you know? The lawful wife is I, Tamamo, and you are merely a concubine who has fallen far down the list.”
“Wait, why are you the lawful wife?”
Tamamo flicked her tail, sending a sharp, competitive jab toward Bagest.
But Bagest simply set down the tray and snorted.
“Hmph! Lawful wife? Don't make me laugh. The Vow of the Fang—to obey the strong and surrender everything—is the heaviest and purest bond in the world. For some fox-tailed youkai scrap to dare monopolize my Master... Tonight, the seat beside him belongs to me—!”
“Hold on, hold on, Miss Big Dog. Just because you're large doesn't mean your voice has to be too.”
Jeanne d’Arc Alter, who had been trimming her nails in the corner, strode out with a crooked swagger.
“Listen, we Servants have been through life and death with this man since the other world; we've scraped by from the bottom together. If you suddenly start acting like the lady of the house just because you brought him one meal, we're going to feel a bit slighted.”
Jeanne d’Arc Alter stepped in front of Bagest, sparks dancing from her fingertips, while Medusa, who had been reading while leaning against the wall, let her violet eyes flash as she toyed with her chain nails.
“...I believe a beast that carelessly invades the Master’s bedchamber needs a leash.”
The three Servants and the newly joined king of the Fang Clan locked horns in a tense standoff. The air in the room grew vicious, reaching a breaking point where a second round of fighting could erupt at any second.
“Ugh, shut up. I’m a patient, remember? If you’re going to brawl, all of you get out.”
When Kay grumbled and pulled the blanket over his head, the four women instantly shifted their demeanor as if they had never been growling at all.
“Ah, okay! I’ll turn out the lights. Get some rest!”
“M-Master. I’ll quietly stay by your side and let you use my arm as a pillow♡”
“Master! The night air will be cold, so I shall cover you with this soft, fluffy chest!”
In the end, Kay spent a suffocating night sandwiched like a filling between four women on a cramped, luxurious bed.
Medusa, deciding that getting wedged into that mess would only be a hassle, spent the time reading her book instead.
In the afternoon, after his body had recovered, they gathered in the outdoor garden of the emerald castle.
A splendid tea time had been prepared for Kay and his party. Kay sat at the center of the table, chewing on the beast meat Bagest had grilled since morning and washing it down with the nectar of the Fairy Kingdom.
“Ah, this is heaven. Meat really does taste best when someone else grills it for you.”
“Is it tasty? There’s more! Eat as much as you like!”
Bagest wiggled her hips with excitement, slicing off more meat to feed directly into Kay’s mouth.
Caster, watching from across the table, maintained a bright, serene smile while suppressing the boiling rage inside her.
...What the hell. I dragged him all the way here from North Wales just so I could ditch my sisters and have my brother all to myself, and now some giant-breasted big dog suddenly pops out of nowhere and tries to steal him? And she can cook too? What happens to my position!
Caster gripped her staff tightly, her mind racing to devise a scheme to drive Bagest away.
Then, near the entrance to the garden, two figures approached hesitantly.
They were Britomart and Bavanshi, whose mental states had been shattered after witnessing the chaotic five-person scene through the crack of a door last night.
“Hm? What brings you two here?”
Kay waved cheerfully, appearing completely oblivious.
“Eek...?!”
The moment they heard his voice, the shoulders of the two fairy knights jolted.
Britomart, her face beet-red, approached awkwardly and sat down, while Bavanshi—her usual rude attitude completely gone—lowered her eyes and carefully perched on her chair.
“You two, are you sick? Why are your faces so red they look like they're about to burst?”
When Kay tilted his head in confusion, Britomart hurriedly hid her face behind a teacup and stammered.
“N-no, not at all! It’s just... the weather is a bit hot today... Ahahaha!”
“Right. It’s just a fever because I haven’t had any blood.”
The two tried their best to keep their eyes fixed on Kay’s face, but they couldn’t stop their gaze from instinctively drifting toward his lower half.
Even with pants that thick... I can't stop thinking about that enormous size from last night...! W-what kind of indecent fantasy is this for a fairy knight!
Are human male reproductive organs always that absurdly huge? He used that to take down four women last night...? How on earth?
The minds of the two fairy knights were already descending into a dark abyss of imagination, far removed from anything wholesome.
It was Bavanshi who finally broke the strange silence.
She glanced at Kay, then, swallowing her pride, spoke in a tiny, hesitant voice.
“Hey... human.”
“Yeah? What is it, you rock girl?”
“I’m not a rock girl! I’m Bavanshi... no, that’s not it.”
She pouted and muttered under her breath.
“That thing you made yesterday... the blood jelly. You called it blood pudding, right? Teach me how to make it.”
“Huh? You want to learn how to cook?”
Kay looked at her in surprise, causing Bavanshi to snap back.
“W-what’s wrong with that! I can’t keep begging for your blood all the time! And I’m... a fairy knight too, you know. I don’t want to be treated like some freeloading guest who just begs you for blood!”
In truth, after experiencing Kay’s cooking, his overwhelming strength, and the shocking sight from the previous night, Bavanshi had begun to feel a strange attraction and curiosity toward this human male she once considered smelly and arrogant.
“Oh? You want to learn cooking? Fine. I was actually looking for an assistant to help me fix the rotten taste buds of this Fairy Kingdom anyway.”
Kay nodded readily.
“But there are conditions. While you’re learning, no drinking my blood—not a single drop. And you’ll do exactly as I say without a word of complaint.”
“......Okay.”
Bavanshi nodded obediently. The sight of the rude, cruel blood-drinking fairy meekly obeying a human man left the surrounding fairy nobles in absolute shock.
“Then I will too!! I’ll learn Sir Kay’s cooking as well!!”
Britomart suddenly raised her hand and shouted.
“My pride as a knight is important, of course... but I believe cooking skills are essential if I am to become a wonderful wife someday! If it’s Sir Kay’s cooking, I feel like I could eat it for the rest of my life and never grow tired of it!”
Britomart’s eyes were shimmering with a very particular kind of ulterior motive.
Soon, Caster and Jeanne d’Arc Alter were shooting jealous glares at them, and a strange battle of nerves erupted.
In the middle of that madhouse, Bagest silently fed Kay another piece of meat and whispered, “Master, ignore the barking of the small fry. Tonight, I will perfectly relieve all your fatigue.”
“...Haa. Whether it’s Britain or the Fairy Kingdom, why is there not a single normal woman around me?”
Kay’s deep sigh drifted away on the wind along with the scent of tea.
Just then, a fairy approached.
“Sir Kay? Her Majesty the Queen requests your presence.”
“Me? Just me?”
“Yes.”
“Hmm, got it. I’ll be back in a bit.”
Kay escaped the catfight and, following the fairy’s guidance, arrived at the castle’s reception room. He knocked, and upon hearing a voice grant permission, he opened the door.
Inside the reception room, he found not only Gloriana, but also a man he had never seen before.
“Ahh~ So you’re the famous Kay?”
“...Who?”
“Welcome, Sir Kay. Please, allow me to introduce him. This gentleman is the Fairy King of Wales, Oberon.”
“Nice to meet you, Kay.”
