The banquet hall was in the midst of a full-blown sensory explosion, all thanks to Kay’s cooking.
Amid the chaos of fairies losing all reason and licking their plates clean, a towering woman approached with heavy footsteps, blocking Kay’s path. It was Bagest.
“Hmm. The closer I get, the stronger the scent becomes.”
Bagest looked down at Kay with her overwhelming 190-centimeter frame and licked her lips. In her eyes, pure appetite and a primal fighting instinct were slickly entwined.
“I am Bagest, King of the Fang Clan.”
Using her introduction as a mere excuse, Bagest blatantly swept her gaze over Kay’s solid chest and muscular arms. Everywhere her eyes landed, Kay felt a chill run down his spine.
“Human. Your cooking is excellent, but what stirs my appetite even more is that body of yours. You possess so little mana, yet you unleash such tremendous energy through pure physical strength alone. How very… delicious.”
Bagest leaned in until her face was inches from Kay’s, whispering as if she were proposing marriage.
“What do you say, human? Care to test yourself against me? If you win, I’ll grant you whatever you desire, as far as my power allows. But if I win… I’ll chew you up, bone and all, and make you a part of me.”
The air in the banquet hall froze instantly. Even the fairies who had been dining happily stopped mid-bite at Bagest’s savage proposal.
“B-Bagest! What is this outrageous language? Sir Kay is an honored guest of this kingdom!”
Queen Gloriana cried out in a panic, hurriedly covering her torn dress. Bagest merely snorted.
“Outrageous? This is a pure expression of courtship, Gloriana. The strong coveting the strong—that is the way of the Fang Clan, the Black Dogs. And… you have no grounds to restrain me, do you? You owe me.”
“A debt?”
At Bagest’s veiled threat, Gloriana’s expression darkened. She let out a heavy sigh and explained the situation to Kay.
“……Sir Kay. It is shameful, but I do indeed owe Sir Bagest a great debt.”
The story the queen shared was the dark history of Cleopolis in the Fairy Kingdom.
“My predecessor, and the former chieftain of the Rain Clan, Aurora. She was the most beautiful, the purest, and the most… wicked being in fairy history.”
Aurora. She was a fairy born with such extreme purity that she lacked the very concept of malice.
However, that purity was nothing more than a profound self-centeredness; she was utterly incapable of understanding the feelings or suffering of others.
“She believed she had to be the center of the world. Whenever someone appeared who was more beautiful, wiser, or simply received more attention than she did… she sought to erase them without the slightest hint of guilt. Because of her jealousy, even the Mirror Clan nearly faced extinction.”
Her atrocities were obvious to those who could read hearts through their fairy eyes, yet countless fairies were bewitched by her overwhelming beauty and her manipulative facade of innocence, following her blindly.
“In the end, I had to make a decision. To protect this city, I chose to depose and execute Aurora. At that time… the ones who fought against Aurora’s personal guard and shed the most blood were the Fang Clan and Sir Bagest.”
Gloriana spoke with a bitter tone.
“Without her strength, the Cleopolis of today would not exist. Therefore… it is difficult for me to simply refuse her requests.”
After hearing the queen’s story, Kay nodded. Bagest, intoxicated by her sense of victory, urged him on with a smirk.
“Now, you heard her, human? Even the queen has given her blessing. Come with me to the training grounds at once and let us have a proper—”
“Ah, sorry. I’m a bit tired today.”
Kay cut her off with a wide yawn.
“I’m completely drained. My arms are sore from all that cooking. How about tomorrow morning? We can use it to digest our meal.”
Bagest frowned, looking as if the wind had been knocked out of her sails, but she soon licked her lips and nodded.
“Hmm. There is no joy in pouncing on exhausted prey. Fine. Tomorrow morning, as soon as the sun rises, I will be waiting at the training grounds. Do not dare run, human.”
Bagest gave Kay one last lingering, hungry look before leaving the hall, her enormous tail swishing behind her. Gloriana apologized to Kay, visibly anxious.
“I am truly sorry, Sir Kay. Sir Bagest is the most powerful warrior among the fairies of Britain. If you were to be injured……”
“Don’t worry, Your Majesty. I grew up being beaten for five years by a woman far nastier and more brutish than her. This is practically cute by comparison.”
Kay shrugged and popped the last piece of steak into his mouth. To a warrior of the Abyssal Realm, the King of the Fang Clan was not frightening in the slightest.
Of course, that didn't mean she was someone to be ignored.
Perhaps…
Still, aside from Scáthach, she might be the strongest I’ve faced so far. She’s far beyond Tacuin, or even Grandotte, whom Medusa defeated. I wonder why Vortigern just leaves someone like her alone?
Among all the enemies he had faced, she was likely the most formidable—a monster who would remain at the top of his list for a long time.
Though, as long as Scáthach existed, no one could ever be the absolute strongest enemy.
After the banquet, Kay and his party were assigned the castle’s most luxurious guest rooms, courtesy of the queen.
Deep in the night, as the moonlight of the Fairy Kingdom seeped through the windows.
“Phew. Another long day.”
Britomart, who had become a fairy after receiving fairy factors as a special reward from the queen, was too excited to sleep and spent her time patrolling the castle.
Naturally, her steps led her toward the corridor where Kay’s guest room was located.
I wonder if Sir Kay is asleep? He worked so hard today… Since he has to fight Sir Bagest tomorrow, maybe he’s preparing?
Just as Britomart was about to pass the door, she noticed it was slightly ajar.
“……?”
Driven by curiosity, she peeked through the gap.
“Ah, ahh! Husband, right there…♡!”
“Haa, haa…♡ Master, you’re being too intense!”
“D-don’t lick me there! Ngh♡, I-I’m already coming!!!”
“Uuugh, you perverted big brother♡ So deep…!”
What unfolded before Britomart’s eyes was a scene of absolute shock and terror.
On the massive bed, Kay was at the center of a tangled mass of four naked women—Tamamo, Medusa, Jeanne d’Arc Alter, and Caster—engaged in a fierce, five-way orgy.
“H-hiiik…?!”
Britomart was so stunned she couldn't even scream, quickly clapping her hand over her mouth.
It was then.
Bavanshi, who had been nursing a grudge after being sent flying by Kay earlier, was sneaking toward the guest rooms to cause trouble. She spotted the frozen Britomart in the corridor and approached, confused.
“What are you doing here? Don’t tell me you’re spying on that human’s bedroom….”
Bavanshi also glanced through the open crack in the door. And then.
“……?!?!?!?!”
Bavanshi’s eyes bulged. What she saw was a debauched and obscene display of human mating that transcended any concept of reproduction she had ever known.
Since fairies were generally born naturally, they had no concept of family, and the idea of sexual intercourse was virtually non-existent to them.
Bavanshi knew the pleasure of blood-drinking, but she was completely ignorant of the physical union between man and woman.
“W-what is that…? Do humans… reproduce like beasts?!”
Bavanshi’s face instantly flushed a deep, ripe red. As the sight of Kay’s imposing manhood, the women’s moans, and the scent of sweat and heat wafted through the gap, her mind went completely blank.
“L-let’s go! Sir Bavanshi! This is no place for us!”
Britomart grabbed Bavanshi’s wrist and pulled. The two fairy knights fled the scene, unable to even look at each other.
The next morning.
As soon as dawn broke, Kay arrived at the training grounds looking refreshed. Thanks to the intense "exercise" of the previous night, he was in peak condition.
However, Britomart, who had come to greet him, and Bavanshi, who watched from a distance, were far from normal.
“G-good morning… Sir Kay.”
Britomart couldn't look him in the eye, keeping her gaze fixed on the ground. But looking down only reminded her of that massive "something" she had seen through the door, making her face burn.
“...Hmph. Pervert.”
Bavanshi muttered, glaring at Kay from afar. She was still reeling from the shock, trembling at the sheer depravity of the human race.
And in the center of the training grounds.
Bagest stood waiting for Kay, radiating a grim and ominous aura.
“You’ve come, human. I thought I’d grow old waiting. The courage to face me without running—I acknowledge it.”
Kay lightly loosened his neck and rested the Golden Axe on his shoulder.
“Yeah. Let’s have a refreshing morning workout.”
The warrior of the Abyssal Realm and the strongest warrior of the fairies.
A fierce clash that would awaken the morning of Cleopolis was about to begin.
