The beginning... Hmm. Should I start from the very first thing I remember?
Or should I start from the moment I was reincarnated?
For now, I was watching a gray-haired boy make an impassioned confession in a church.
"Sister Lily! Someday, I'll become the Wizard King and make you happy! So please marry me!"
"I'm sorry, Asta. I'm everyone's sister..."
"Agh... not yet!"
"Um... I'm sorry?"
"I won't give up!"
"No, what I'm saying is..."
"Not yet!"
"I'm really sorry!"
"Sister Lily, one more time!!!!"
"You're so persistent! Water Creation Magic: Love's Sacred Fist Punch!"
"Ah. I'm sorry, Asta! I used my Grimoire's magic without thinking..."
"That was amazing, Sister~"
"No mercy at all."
"Ah... I really didn't mean to..."
"Not yet!"
Boom!!!
The instant Asta came flying back, a powerful gust of wind slammed him into the ground.
"How many times do you need to get hit before you come to your senses?"
At this point, even a younger orphan was giving the boy brutally honest advice.
The boy's name was Asta. He was the protagonist of this world—and of the manga—and the seed of a future hero who would fight calamity and save the world.
"Why are you getting in my way too, Yuno?!"
"Why? You're loud, you're tiny, you have no composure, no consideration for others, and no matter how hard I look, I can't find a single quality that women would like."
"Hey! Is that something you say to someone you've eaten and slept beside for fifteen years, you jerk?!"
"Even so, you'll get back up again, won't you, Aasta?"
"That's right, Kadel. Wait, I'm not Aasta!"
Meanwhile, Yuno was telling Sister Lily that he would help her.
"Hey, don't ignore me, Yuno!"
"Asta, Sister is a cleric, so she can't get married. And fifteen-year-old boys can't get married either."
"Yuno, you...! Fine! Let's settle this, Yuno!"
"Sigh... It's going to get noisy again."
...How did I end up with these brats?
First of all, I'm someone who lived a previous life.
I wasn't sure whether reincarnator or transmigrator was the right term, but in my past life, I had been an utterly ordinary high school student in South Korea, doing my best to focus on my studies.
The last memory I had of my Korean self was of looking at my phone alone in my dormitory.
When I had first reincarnated, I couldn't even understand what was happening.
All I knew was that moving my body was unbelievably difficult. Not even knowing where I was, I could only stare up at the sky.
Then, someone picked me up.
"This child's name is Kadel?
All three of these children were abandoned here. It seems our family will be growing."
An old man looked down at me as he spoke quietly.
His face looked awfully familiar... Who was he again?
"Ah... Urgh?... Ah!"
What was wrong with my voice? Forget talking—was I seriously babbling like a baby?
"Oh, unlike the other two, this child is looking right at me."
The other two? Were there two more abandoned children besides me?
"Urgh... Ah!"
"Ah! You want to see the other children, don't you!"
Good grief, how had this old man managed to interpret that?
Thanks to the old man's utterly absurd conversational skills, I got to see the other two children.
One had black hair and wore a blue necklace, while the other had gray hair that looked like a bird's nest...
Wait a second. I'd thought they looked familiar, but they were exactly like the protagonists of Black Clover, the manga I'd been reading right up until I died?!
Did that mean I had become a baby, entered the world of Black Clover, and been abandoned at the same church as them?
Damn it. If I'd known this would happen, I should've stopped rationing it and read the whole thing.
I hadn't even seen the final boss yet. I'd only made it as far as Yami and William being kidnapped...
Then again, what was the point? Regretting it now wouldn't change anything.
Thinking so much was making me tired.
Fifteen years had already passed since then.
And now...
"No."
"And why not, you punk?!"
"Because it's a waste of time."
"What did you say, you punk?!"
"Asta, that's enough already."
"It sounds like it's about to get loud, so I'll go inside and rest first, Sister."
"All right, go ahead."
That was the day I went inside while Asta's shouting and the howl of fierce winds rang out from outdoors.
