Chapter 127: Daily Life of the Night King - 3 -

When Uzui Tengen and Tanjiro's group returned to the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters covered in blood, the air there was as heavy as lead.

The news of their defeat spread in an instant, and an emergency Hashira meeting was summoned.

Only a heavy silence hung over the veranda of the mansion.

“…So, you’re telling me to believe that right now? Uzui.”

The first to speak was the Wind Hashira, Sanemi. Thick veins were bulging on his face.

“That there are several monsters stronger than the Upper Moons? Does that even make sense?!”

“It’s the truth. We were flamboyantly… no, miserably crushed.”

Uzui Tengen lowered his head, stroking his bandage-wrapped wounds.

The usual self-confident appearance of the God of Festivals was nowhere to be seen.

“I couldn’t even swing my blade properly once. My body froze just from the aura that man named Akira exuded. It was… a difference in rank as a living being.”

“Hmm… for Tengen to speak that way.”

The Flame Hashira, Kyojuro, continued with a serious expression, arms crossed.

“The Akatsuki Trading Company. We knew their influence was great, but to think their military power even overwhelms the Hashira of our Demon Slayer Corps! This confirms they are a third force even more dangerous than the demons!”

“Nezuko… Nezuko…!”

In a corner of the yard, Tanjiro was hitting the ground and sobbing.

“It’s because your brother is weak… I’m sorry, Nezuko… Ugh…!”

The guilt of failing to protect his sister and having her taken away tore the boy’s heart to pieces.

Giyu silently placed a hand on Tanjiro's shoulder, but his expression was also dark.

“Namu Amida Butsu. I knew it was a group of demons, but to think there was a monster on Muzan’s level.”

“Well, are we doomed then? Is it the kind of thing where we have to put our lives on the line and go for a round?”

Those were the words of the Stone Hashira, Gyomei, and the Caster, Okita. Of course, Okita’s words were hollow. Since they were currently eating from the same pot as the Demon Slayer Corps, she hoped they wouldn't choose a foolish, meaningless death.

Though, if Akira ordered her to kill them, she would immediately enter man-slayer mode and kill them all without any emotion.

Kanao, the Flower Hashira, remained quiet, while Obanai, the Serpent Hashira, clicked his tongue.

“Master, please give the order. We must strike their base at once!”

Sanemi shouted. No matter how strong they were, if several Hashira attacked at once, there would surely be a chance of victory.

“It is not allowed.”

Ubuyashiki Kagaya, appearing with his sickly body, shook his head quietly but firmly.

“If we start a total war with the Akatsuki Trading Company now, the Demon Slayer Corps will be destroyed overnight. Before we can even catch Muzan, we will disappear first.”

Ubuyashiki’s blind eyes stared into the air.

“That man named Akira… is a being beyond the common sense we knew. A transcendent who is neither demon nor human. For the time being, I issue an order to all members to ban contact with the Akatsuki Trading Company. Tengen, since you were merely trying to hunt a demon presumed to be an Upper Moon, I will let this matter pass. However, I strictly forbid contact with that company. We must… survive for now and wait for the right time. Our enemy is Muzan.”

The greatest crisis since the founding of the Demon Slayer Corps.

They had no choice but to kneel before an empire of capital and military power even more massive and overwhelming than their enemy, the demons.

Kagaya realized that while their enemy was solely Muzan, the Akira side was moderate in nature—as long as they weren't touched, they wouldn't strike first, neither at the Corps nor innocent civilians.

It was an intuition unique to his clan.

However, the members, including the Hashira, could only feel even more uneasy.

Meanwhile, in a deserted house on the outskirts of Tokyo. In a basement warehouse vibrating with the smell of musty mold, a man in a suit was crouching.

It was Kibutsuji Muzan, the progenitor of demons and ruler of the night.

“Grit…!”

Muzan scratched the old wooden floor with his nails.

The invincible fortress, Infinity Castle, which he had gained after hundreds of years of increasing his disgusting kin. It had now become Akira’s luxurious villa.

“Nakime… to think that girl betrayed me… no, did that man take her away….”

Muzan trembled with humiliation. When he was attacked by the mysterious enemy, Akira, he definitely wasn't in that place.

But even so, he couldn't forget the sensation where every single one of his cells screamed to run away.

An alarm bell of death, just like during the time of Yoriichi.

Muzan had to admit it. With his current strength, he could not defeat Akira.

The situation was such that even the existing Upper Moons had been picked off one by one.

“For now, I must hide. Thoroughly… as if I were dead….”

Muzan was even reluctant to call the Lower Moons to whom he had shared his blood.

It was because he didn't know how far Akira’s information network stretched.

“The Blue Spider Lily… if I only find that…! Once I overcome the sun, I can defeat that guy too!”

Muzan’s red eyes gleamed in the darkness. He was no longer a ruler but a hunted beast who had to crawl through the sewers while aiming for a comeback.

In the deepest and dirtiest places where the lights of the magnificent Akatsuki Tower couldn't reach.

“You there!”

Then, he called a subordinate he had recently and secretly made into a demon while wandering, the new Upper Moon One.

“Did you call for me?”

He was lucky.

This one had great talent as a demon and knew how to use Breathing.

Though he couldn't use the First Form, he used a Breathing style that belonged to the rare category, so that was enough. His talent as a demon was outstanding, his personality was close to Muzan's own, and his loathing of losing was a strength.

Because his talent was so great, Muzan had slowly shared a large amount of his blood with him.

He might be lacking compared to Kokushibo, but in terms of the total amount of power alone, he could be compared to Akaza. Of course, while the total amount of power was the same, his ability to use it would be far inferior to Akaza’s.

But who knows? Since he was a Breathing swordsman, maybe one day he would become the second most powerful after Kokushibo.

“Kaigaku. Lead the other Lower Moon demons and go to that place. The information sent by Upper Moon Four must be unmistakable. I have seen the memories.”

“Yes! I will follow your command!”

Kaigaku.

The man who, along with Zenitsu, was recognized by the former Thunder Hashira, Jigoro, as a successor of Thunder Breathing.

Whatever his character was like, he was a hard worker, and Jigoro recognized that part of him. Believing that a person could change.

But he repaid that grace with enmity by becoming a demon.

Rather than the Demon Slayer Corps—who still wouldn't recognize him as a Hashira and had appointed someone who couldn't even use Thunder Breathing properly, only knowing its 'color,' as the Thunder Hashira while not acknowledging him—

He now served as his new master someone who recognized him immediately as the Upper Moon One, the second only to himself.

He didn't know. That this place was a failing small-to-medium enterprise that was collapsing even more than the Demon Slayer Corps and had no vision. That he was merely a replacement for the previous Upper Moons.

As per his command, Kaigaku called the Lower Moons—whom Muzan didn't trust but could be handled even if they betrayed him at his level—and headed to the place he mentioned.

To the Swordsmith Village.

At the same time, in the deepest part of the Infinity Castle, which had changed owners.

Akira's bedroom was heating up in a sense completely opposite to the seriousness of the outside world.

It was when Akira, dressed in high-quality silk pajamas, was leaning against the headboard of the bed reading a book.

Click.

The sound of the door locking was heard.

When Akira looked up, Shinobu and Kanao were standing there wearing thin slips.

“…You guys, what’s with those outfits?”

Instead of their usual kimonos, it was a daring lingerie look that one might only see in the underwear section of the Akatsuki Department Store.

Shinobu was wearing a purple see-through slip, and Kanao was wearing a pure white slip.

“Oh my, Master. Reading is all well and good, but shouldn’t we share some physical conversation too?”

Shinobu approached the bed with a swaying gait and sat on Akira's lap.

“Lately, you’ve been completely fallen for Nezuko-san… and you don’t even look at us. I’m pouting.”

Shinobu puffed out her lips and wrapped her arms around Akira's neck.

Her voluptuous chest was softly crushed against Akira's chest.

The faint scent of Wisteria stimulated Akira's nose.

“Shinobu, this is a bit much for just being called jealousy.”

“It is jealousy. A woman's jealousy is scarier than a demon's. Though I am a demon. So… take responsibility.”

Shinobu whispered while lightly biting Akira's earlobe.

At that moment, he felt the mattress sink on the other side. It was Kanao.

Without a word, she hugged Akira's arm and pressed her chest firmly against him.

She was usually quiet, but at times like this, she was quite bold, much like Shinobu.

“Look at me too. Father.”

Kanao’s eyes were moist. She was currently moving according to her instincts.

“Sigh… you guys, really….”

It was the moment Akira’s reason was shaken by the soft and fragrant pressure applied from both sides.

BAM—!!

The bedroom door opened as if it were being broken, and a small shadow jumped in.

“Grrrr!!”

It was Nezuko. She had been watching the situation through the crack in the door and could no longer bear it, so she intruded.

However, she judged that she couldn't stand against those two people’s weapons (chests) in her child form.

Sshhhk!

A red light emitted from Nezuko’s body, and her physical frame grew rapidly.

The adult version of Nezuko who had undergone demonification. A horn sprouted, her thighs became thick, and above all, her chest grew massive enough to threaten Shinobu or Kanao.

“Mmph!!”

The grown Nezuko jumped onto the bed and occupied the top of Akira's stomach.

“Gah! Ne-Nezuko! Heavy!”

Akira's scream was ignored. Nezuko pushed Shinobu and Kanao away with her hips and buried Akira’s face in her voluptuous chest.

“Kyahahaha~!”

Nezuko’s jealousy was, naturally, more like a child’s possessiveness than a woman’s jealousy.

What she did by growing her body was purely to hug him.

It was just that since she was small, she grew larger to fight back.

“Oh my, this little girl? You dare push your older sisters?”

“Father is my father! Nezuko, go back to Tanjiro!”

Shinobu and Kanao didn't back down either.

They clung to Akira again, beginning a three-way battle for high ground with Akira caught in the middle.

“Sigh, Nezuko, what are you going to learn from this? Since you two use your chests like weapons, Nezuko is seeing and learning from you.”

Akira’s happy(?) scream echoed into the night sky of the Infinity Castle.

Outside, the Demon Slayer Corps was in despair and Muzan was gnashing his teeth, but here was another battlefield where love, desire, and jealousy were intertwined.
